Cigarettes? (Smoke If You Got 'Em!) ]]> Cigarettes are bad. They cause cancer. Cancer kills you. But candy cigarettes? Harmless! They only inspire impressionable children to smoke. And who better to rope 'em in young than Sonic the Hedgehog? The "New Tasty 100 percent Stick Candy Cigarettes" were found in the Philippines. Surgeon General warns of serious Sonic attitude!

<![CDATA[ Topps Launches Candy Coated Speed Racer Web Game ]]> Topps, the purveyors of candy treats have just launched a little racing web based game to help promote the upcoming Speed Racer Movie, Speed Racer Candy Tracks The game is exactly what you'd expect from the title, a racing game with a Topps candy tie in. The tie in coming from a massive onslaught of in game advertising for all of their products from Bazooka gum to Ring Pops. The tracks may be pink and candy coated but this Flash game already seems ten times more interesting than the bore fest that is Speed Racer the Video Game. I'm sorry, but having to tack on "the Video Game" at the end automatically puts it on my "don't buy list."

<![CDATA[ Master Chief Is Made Of Chocolate ]]> Reader Max wrote in to let us know that Microsoft's Russian arm has been sending out "some very peculiar gifts to its partners" this holiday, specifically a chocolate Master Chief wrapped in pretty gold foil. As you can see, MC is surrounded by garland, chestnuts and Xbox 360 logos, carrying a sack filled with presents for the good girls and boys of Mother Russia. Maybe an odd choice, but I'm willing to bet that Halo 3 wins the Russsian Spike TV Video Game Award for "Most Addictive Game Fueled by Milk Chocolate." Further size comparison pics of the delicious treat are after the jump.

<![CDATA[ New Wiimote Candy Dispenser is Sweet ]]> Pardon our use of early 90s slang, but this Wii candy dispenser is totally sweet. Correction: this Wii candy dispenser is just alright. But the YouTube clip of the poor kid who opens one of these on Christmas morning, goes completely freaking berserk around the house and then has his dreams crushed will actually be pretty sweet. Spotted at the All Candy Expo, this Wii Candy Dispenser can bring joy to no one and should be stopped at all costs. We have no word on price or availability.

<![CDATA[ E For All A Success In Terms of Candy ]]> E For All may have been a bit of a dud for the enthusiast press attendee, as I had personally spent time with over 90% of the software on hand at previous events, but in terms of Pac-Man themed candy? E For All was a blockbuster hit. After a harrowing experience at the show's "press hospitality suite" in which I was horrified to discover that not a single bartender or Thai masseuse was on staff, I realized it wasn't a total loss. Pac-man lollipops! Yes, please! I uttered the Kotaku battlecry—"This is a post!"—upon finding these, a welcome, sweet oasis when my bloodsugar was at its lowest. Thank you, Namco Bandai Games, for your fabulous candy on a stick.

<![CDATA[ Where Are They Now: Mrs. Pac-Man Edition ]]>

Mrs. Pac-Man is doing what any famous entity does as they are entering retirement, using her celebrity status to sell product. I spotted her in all her edible hard-candied glory at Papabubble in Amsterdam accessorized with some pac dots and super-cute, but doomed ghosts. Many people have wandered into the store after smelling the sweet fruity scents wafting out the door and tried to buy the vintage Atari in the display out from under them, but had to settle for a couple of bags of hand-made candy.

The best part? They make custom-designed candies to your liking. So if you want a giant Mrs. Pac-Man lolly for yourself, or a bag of little ghosts, all you have to do is email them with your specs (lulu at papabubble.nl) and they will inform you in one of my two favorite Dutch to English phrases: "It is possible", or "It is not possible".

<![CDATA[ Amazing Nintendo Candies ]]>

Sa-weeeet! And I mean that in every sense of the word. Reader Ryan writes that his girlfriend got this wicked candy swag for presenting at the Canadian Game Studies Association last week. Apparently she ate the Mario and Yoshi, why he stuck to Donkey Kong and Diddy. They sawed poor crystaline Link in half and chomped his upper and lower in unison.

<![CDATA[ Hey! That Ain't Candy In That SNK Capsule!! ]]>

Prize games. Put in your money and win nothing. Hit any arcade in Japan, and find 'em by the boatload. Typical prizes: Sweets and stuffed animals. Though, some of these machines could be considered misleading. Take this SNK Candy Capsule. Hit the jump for the NSFW closer inspection.

Lean closer....

THAT IS NOT CANDY. Rather, the capsules are filled with pieces of paper that say whether the adult video prize is given away or not. And from the looks of it, I think we've had some winners.

P.S. And no, "eye candy" doesn't count.

<![CDATA[ UK Gets The Bubblegum Pink PS2 ]]> BUBBLE BAUBLEMan, if it weren't for the bad dentistry, I'd be really jealous of the English. Not only did they get that very slick looking silver slim-line PlayStation 2, now they're getting that delicious bubblegum pink version.

According to the UK arm of Stuff magazine, the Pepto pink PS2, along with pink Dual Shock 2's and pink memory card will hit shops on November 8. Hey, that's just in time for the holidays! Think of all the disappoint girlfriends who will see this under the tree this holiday.

I have a strange desire to eat this thing. Oh, it retails for the same price as the regular PS2, a mere £100. Cheap!

<![CDATA[ The Big List of Nintendo Candies ]]>

Candy Addict has a hot little number up over on their site: A comprehensive list of Nintendo candy. They got the Nintendo Ladder Game Candy, the mini plastic candy-packed GameCube and the Nintendo Power Mints, just to name a few. How the hell has no one come out with candy Yoshi eggs? That's what I want to know.
