If someone's astride a horse on a narrow ledge overlooking a deep gorge, and he's not faced to enjoy the view, you might want to, I dunno, not run behind him, or maybe just don't do PvP anymore.

Is this Age of Conan or Lemmings?

<![CDATA[Homestar Portable for PSP]]>

Here's a nice thought for the PSP as we get to scheduling our summer camping vacations. Homestar Portable for the PSP is out now for the PSP and even though has no Homestar Runner on it as some tented, sleeping bagged entertainment, it still looks like a beautiful application for looking up at the stars:

"...It is for the Sony PSP, but it's not a game. It's a piece of software that helps you 'read' the nights sky. By utilising the PSPs GPS unit (I had no idea the PSP had one until now!) it can tell where you are and what constellations are above you..."

Sure it's all in Japanese, but after singing 99 bottles of beers on the wall for four hours around a campfire, everything starts to kind of make sense.

<![CDATA[Best Buy Holding Wiis For Sunday]]> So much for not hearing about Wiis being in stock...

One of our favorite anonymous Best Buy tipsters lets us know that the big blue retailer will have a minimum of fifteen Wiis in stock at each brick and mortar location this Sunday, January 21st. He says we should, in reality, expect around 35-45 consoles at each store, but we suggest setting your expectations to the store minimum. The minimum store allocation will also be published alongside the weekly store ad, so this won't be a secret.

I'll be heading over to one of the local Best Buys this weekend, just to see how I fare against the competition. I won't be at all surprised to see folks camping out for the Wii on Saturday night, even though the console launched two months ago in the US.

<![CDATA[Rumor: Best Buy Holding More PS3s for NYE?]]> We've heard from a couple sources that Best Buy will once again be "trapping stock" in anticipation of... well, probably just running their weekly ad, promising to have dozens of PlayStation 3 consoles on hand to satisfy demand. This means, if you're looking for a last minute PS3 this weekend, you might better be served looking elsewhere.

We hear that each Best Buy location will have upward of 60 PS3s on hand for Sunday, December 31. No details on the 60GB to 20GB ratio, though. Regardless, get your tents and sleeping bags out from the attic and definitely do not bring cash. Pepper spray, maybe.

Thanks, John and Brian, for the heads up.

UPDATE: We got the following info from another Best Buy mole this morning:

Just wanted to verify that Best Buy is hording more PS3's. We received a shipment of around 82 PS3s today around 6pm. What they plan on doing is releasing 14 each day until Sunday, when they plan on releasing 40 (they are all the 60gb model).

<![CDATA[USA Today Clues Masses In On Holiday Console Shipments]]> Consider it that much harder to get your hardcore gamer hands on both the PlayStation 3 and the Wii this weekend. Daily Kotaku readers are obviously well aware that many retail outlets are holding onto their console stock for this Sunday's sales. But now every parent who finds the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal too "wordy" knows that Wiis and PS3s will be set free from their stock room confines no sooner than Sunday morning.

Analyst P.J. McNealy says he expects "people to start camping out on Saturday again" and I'm inclined to agree. After many weeks of having no luck aquiring one personally, I think I'm ready to start sleeping on the sidewalk outside the Glendale Best Buy starting around 2 AM.

Any other procrastinators out there ready to grab some sidewalk this weekend?

<![CDATA[PlayStation 3 Camper Needed! Easy Money!]]>

You gotta love Craigslist. So many uses! I've exploited it to sell furniture. Others have used it to scam hundreds with false promises of anonymous, attachment-free, rough sex. Some are looking to hire gullible line-sitters with no grasp on the concept of capitalism.

To wit:
