    ATVI was a mixed blessing. I got in right before the latest expansion hoping to make do with the post expansion surge. The slope was nothing near what TBC saw in terms of profits. Meh.

    What's so great about profit margins, if you lose your soul?

    I bet Infinity Ward and Blizzard would prefer that Bobby Kotick and his cronies only make $300 million this year, if it meant they could create the games they wanted, instead of the watered down, overpriced and nickel-and-diming bullshit they're being forced to produce. #activision

    @Ad-hominem: Blizzard owns 53% of activision stock. Meaning blizzard, not activision, is the dominant party. Second, koktic has not reared his ugly head in a single blizzard affair since the merging.

    Fallout 3 is definitely my 2008 Game of the Year. I can't think of any other recent game where I plugged in so many hours of playing, especially with 3 distinctly different playthrough characters. Also I paid $50 in some of the best DLC ever released, aside from the craptacular Mothership Zeta that held so much potential. Definitely a game that gave me more gameplay for the $110 I spent on it! #goldenjoystickawards

    @F0ntaine: Notice that this year still has 2 months left.
    GOTY awards start from a few months in, so it was within 09's range. I think it was from September to September iirc.

    Edit: someone below has pointed out its May to May.
    Which I guess sounds right. I know I voted in early October, and I nominated some time before that.

    Does it seem like cheating to anyone else that a Guitar Hero game won soundtrack of the year? Several years ago an award like that woulda meant something... in this case it's more like "best music licensing deal for a game... of the year" #goldenjoystickawards

    @MasterYong: Total cheat. Best soundtrack should go to original compositions that accompany gameplay, not the gameplay itself. Also, Invincible Tiger - Best Soundtrack for a game ever. #goldenjoystickawards
