The problem with 'batteling' this kind of behaviour from preorder sellers is that you lose out on your gaming experience for making a point (since there's no price difference, just more game) and, as such, not enough people will co-operate on similar preorder stunts.
I guess it's something you have to learn to live with, like day 1 patches and DLC-on-your-disk. #coptherecruit
I think we as gamers need to strongly discourage this behavior by publishers by specifically not pre-ordering games which have pre-order bonuses. Better yet, we should just not pre-order in general, so that publishers can learn to release quality titles and earn their sales. Pre-ordering as a whole is a gimmick with no positive value to the consumer. #coptherecruit
@Yamen: Personally, I don't mind pre-orders that have little trinkets or soundtrack cds or something like that.
It's the pre-order bonuses like this that get me. Everyone should get the same experience regardless of when they bought the game , barring DLC of course. #coptherecruit
@Yamen: I have no gripes with pre ordering, and sometimes its nice to get pre order bonus's like figures and posters, but in game content should never be pre order, it really grinds my gears. #coptherecruit
My favorite two favorite pieces of swag I picked up: Borderlands T-shirt, and the "Art of Guild Wars 2" book signed by three of the artists. I couldn't believe they were handing out the art book for free...I'd love to know how many they ended up handing out, as they disappeared fairly quickly on Friday.
The Dante's Inferno comic was easily the worst of the swag I got. It's bad enough that they're totally ripping the story apart for the game. They had to make a prequel comic book to go along with it?
Kitty is bored by your gaming swag. None of it smells like catnip or gooshyfood. And (aside from the pink ball), anything kitty can carry or whap around is a cat toy.
I like the inflatable swords and the blue APB shirt.
I hung around booths I was more interested in. So I didn't play Brink. Nor didn't I wait to play L4D2, Mass Effect 2 or any of Blizzard's products.
Next year, I plan to open my pallet and enjoy more "uber long" lines to play games; maybe bring a fold-out stool to sit on. Where should I buy one of those "over the shoulder" canisters to keep all the free posters?
@AntiZERØ: The L4D and Blizzard lines were highly reminiscent of last year. They really need to set up some kind of ticket system so you can go explore other things while waiting your turn.

Do you also mean, regardless of WHERE they buy them? Because those are kind of annoying, too. #coptherecruit

I went back to the booth after I got my book and got it signed by another group of artists for extra cool.

You know the ones I mean, where the odor is an almost perceptible aura of rank disgust.
It was a joke, one that I guess went waaaaaay over most people's head.

I heard Daigo essentially gets all of his victories via olfactory submission.

"If this t-shirt smells, I'm not washing hard enough"
I think I'm just a cleanliness freak.
Looks like a good haul for freebies!
