My only problem with this is they are taking the quizzes from the user created quizzes online. Yes, I'm bitter because my AWESOME Mega Man quizzes get rated 1 star, when crap like WICH RESTARANT GIVES BIG MAC?? get perfect scores.
@ShadowOdin finally got a copy of Suikoden III. Is upset wit...: It's one person against a mob of 100 answers questions. The One needs to outlast the Mob to win and continue playing. Get one wrong, and you're a bit fat loser. Winner gets money via Microsoft points. Also looks as if the top three players in the Mob get a consolation prize.
@FrankieViturello: @geiko: @Pizookie: Hey, guys, I know what you're saying. But Microsoft announced 1 vs. 100 quite a while ago, so officially they were first. I think we can give them that.
Buzz is the older established franchise, though, and there's a good chance it might've appeared without Microsoft doing their thing. But I think it's safe to say this spurred them.
Personally I think this feels alot more avaliable, and combining it with Home is pure genius. I'm looking forward to trying it out.
@mentalboy11: Yeah, I do not think Sony thought this through at all. Looks too easy to wait and see what the largest group decides to ensure a better chance of a correct answer even if you don't have a clue.
@deanbmmv: I don't see how the game can measure speed when it appears you have 64 people walking to the answer square from some other distance. This would be a good idea to give value to Home, but based on this limited information, it looks as if the implementation will leave much to be desired to be an effective game show.
@SPECIALciaNAPKIN: Well, MGS4 taught me from zero comes one, from one comes two, two to five for some reason, five to ten, and then ten to 100. So, Hideo Kojima would say something like...
I suppose I'll get flamed for saying I really kinda like some of the stuff in Home these days. I certainly think they've found a direction just lately.
@get2sammyb: I think Home always had the right direction, it's just people want everything the minute they are announced. Look at all the shit Sony got from detractors - saying how they have no games. A year down the line and everyone is slagging Microsoft off and singing Sony's praises for the games library they have built.
People are fickle.
Sony released the beta of Home and everyone jumped on it saying how lame it was with nothing to do. Now people are liking some of the newer stuff and in a year or two people will be all over it like a rash.
@BarbeQueQ: You need to specify "In content, if not in sales" because BOY OH BOY will you have people down your throat for suggesting they can catch up with the wii in sales.
@mangs: Sure, it's "free" after you pay the premium of a PS3. Nothing is free in a platform mediated market... when are people going to realize this?
But yes, you have to have a Gold membership. For a live game show like that, I would expect Mr. Cashman want to get paid and the developers and publishers want compensation for the games people buy with the thousands of points given away every night.
@Edge of Blade: The premium you speak of isn't that big if you think about it. In the long term, PS3 is a better value.
You're right nothing is free but there can definitely be win-win situation. This is one of them, publishers get to advertise their game and gamers get to enjoy a glimpse of it.
@UltimateIdiot - Imperfection at Best: When you pay for the Xbox Live fee you also pay for servers that you dont have to worry about. It won't lag and won't crash on you.
As others have already said, it's most probably a new Buzz game or in the same vein as those games.
I guess it's a socially-adaptive game that's rated E so it can reach all the demographics and quite possibly be connected to Home.
A new puzzle game? A new platformer? Who knows?! All that's important is it's a secret and we all know we'll all be let down once the announcement of what the actual game really is.
Release a patch/DLC/something for Quiz TV so I can edit or arrange how rounds are played.
Sometimes the bomb round and particularly 'steal the points' round can be fun suckers, particularly for those who can't answer as fast or don't have as much trivia knowledge. Would be nice to eliminate them or alter the way the game plays a bit at least.
When has that stopped a developer from switching sides? If "close relationships" really mattered, there might actually be a Final Fantasy out this year.

Still looking forward to it, though.

Cool news, though. Although we have to agree that Microsoft added the community twist first.
I wonder how many 64-player games can happen at the same time, and if there can be tournament through "linked games" or something.

Only I got how this worked after seeing a screenshot and reading a few sentances.
I am still not sure how 1 vs 100 works (no trolling, I really think it was needlessly complicated)

While this has some similarities (mainly in the scope of participants) I think it's a stretch to say it's an "obvious response to" 1 Vs 100 on XBLA.

I think there is some timing involved, Buzz does tend to rate you on who got ti right then see who was fastest.

Except now you get even less exercise...

I fucking hate been an adult, I just want to go play hide and seek again. (I did that in Home a few times it was even fun in that)

1 + 0 + 1 = 2
6 + 4 = 10
That's 5 times as much, therefore Sony wins
...at everything.

True...
1 + 0 + 1 = 2
6 + 4 = 10
but...
1 + 0 = 1
So...
Microsoft - 2
Sony - 1 (...more person that's going to buy it. Me)
05/28/09
101 = 212 = 525 = 10,510 = 10,010,100 = 100,100,100
64 = 64
Kojima agrees! Xbox math wins!
CONFIRMED!
METAL GEAR SOLID 5 ON XBOX 360!

If Sony gets everything right this year they might lead this console generation as well. Just like they did the last two decades.

"A delayed game is eventually good. A rushed game is bad forever."
Who was it that said that? I don't remember...some guy...I think he might have been Chinese...made some game about plumbers?

That's not my reasoning, it's Miyamoto's. And I'm pretty sure Miyamoto was thinking that it only applies to good developers.
Hence, DNF will not fit the bill regardless.

So they could do a quiz game likely for anything, but Buzz would be out of the question unless it was exclusive.
