Metal Gear Solid 4: The PS3 Bundle: The Cardboard Box
Here it is, folks. The PlayStation 3 bundle with Metal Gear Solid 4 shipping in June with product photography proof. It might not have been our choice—we'd have gone with a stealthier plain brown box with the words "The Orange" on the outside—but we don't know from product marketing. We'd also have gone with a better camo choice, perhaps Snake in "piano black" with the Spider-Man font emblazoned in a full body pattern. I'm sure everyone else will find it just peachy keen. Here's hoping that Japan's got something extra special planned for collector types.

New PS3 Bundle Coming To Australia
While this has nothing to do with a larger hard drive, Sony will be offering a new bundle in Australia that includes a 40GB PS3, second Sixaxis controller and one of the following games: Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction or NBA 08 all for $799.95. Wow, that's looking a LOT better than the original $1000 PS3 launch price that Luke had to put up with.

At noon on the same day, MyWishList will feature 100 Rock Band special editions for the 36o at $50 a pop. Not bad, not bad at all.

The offer is exclusive to Sam's Club members and can be purchased online although no price was given. Xbox 360 Pro Bundle in the Wild
Kotakuite Pitt Rennington spotted the new Xbox 360 Pro bundle at his local Best Buy last night and snapped a photo to prove his big discovery and subsequent purchase. Rumors had been flying around about exactly when the bundle (that includes Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance) would hit store shelves and it seems like that time is now. A run by my local Costco to check up on this also turned up the Pro Bundle as well, so if you've been waiting for word before you picked this up, consider yourself officially told.New Warhawk Version Coming to Blu-ray
N'gai Croal reports that Sony will start selling a $40 version of Warhawk in stories later this month. The $40 version, matching the price of the download-only version available on the Playstation Network, won't come with the Jabra Bluetooth packed in that comes with the $60 version of the game.
The $40 version will go on sale starting Oct. 10, according to GamStop, but Sony reps were only able to confirm the price and not the date to Croal. This could be a new pricing strategy for Sony, though I think it would make more sense in the future to release both a bundle and a non-bundle at stores on the same day rather than waiting to start selling the game-only version at stores.
Elite 360/HD-DVD Bundle On Amazon
Well, it seems the bundles are just coming out of the woodwork today, but this one you can actually grab right now. Amazon is currently offering a pretty decent package for a great price. The offer includes an Xbox 360 Elite System, the HD DVD player, a copy of both King Kong and 300 (HD DVD versions of course) for $599. Plus as an added bonus, a seperate mail-in offer will net you another five HD-DVDs for free. Of course the selection is terrible, but you can always sell them I suppose. Considering the cost of the Elite and the player alone come to $630 this is a pretty sweet deal when you add the 2 free movies, the mail in offer and free shipping. Who could ask for anything more? Well, maybe you could ask, but I doubt you'd get it.

New 360 Double Game Bundles Discovered
Yesterday I got an email from a fellow who said he had found an image of a holiday bundle for the 360 and as there wasn't much more information available, I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and got to work. After some rummaging about, I was able to turn up not only the Elite Bundle, but one for the Pro system as well marked as eventually being available in the US. The bundle will include the system and it's accessories plus two games, Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. These images were discovered on a website Microsoft uses to market their products and while there was no pricing information available, the Elite image was clearly marked as "Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Value Bundle." Judging by the name, one can assume that this will be the Xbox's bundles available for the upcoming Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping season. Unless of course they are saving it for Flag Day, which means we won't see it till spring of next year.

Brain Age 2 DS Bundle Official
Nintendo just issued a press release confirming something we heard about back on July 23rd from about gajillion online retailers, but it is always good to see official word. Brain Age 2: More Training In Minutes A Day is coming bundled with a special crimson and black Nintendo DS. The bundle should start showing up on store shelves on August 21st at a suggested retail price of $149.99. From the description on the official press release:The top half of the new Nintendo DS sports a smooth, glossy Crimson, reminiscent of a dangerous shade of lipstick or a cherry-red sports car. The bottom is a matte black — an Onyx yin that complements the Crimson yang.I only point this out because Onyx Yin and the Crimson Yang would make an awesome comic book / rap duo. PS3 80GB on Sale Now, 60GB Going, Going...
Sony Computer Entertainment of America reminds us that today's the day you should be able to walk into a store and pick up the new 80GB Playstation 3, complete with a copy of MotorStorm.
The $600 PS3 seems like a decent deal to those who have been on the fence about buying the console, what with the larger harddrive and a free copy of a relatively solid game. Of course you could just buy the 60GB version for $100 less and then buy the game of your choice and have money left over to put toward upgrading the PS3's harddrive on your own, a relatively simple endeavor.
Sony points out that they expect to be sold out of the 60GB version by this fall, based on current consumer demand.
Hit the jump for the full press release, with a remind of all of the cool games coming to the PS3 in the near future including Heavenly Sword, Folklore and Uncharted.

Costco Offers Wii Bundles
Costco is currently selling Wii bundles that include the Wii, an extra Wii remote and a copy of Mario Party 8 for $329. If you're still looking to get a Wii and you have a Costco membership, this might be the perfect opportunity for you although you'll probably be wanting to pick up an extra nunchuk as well. The savings is minuscule at only $10, but it's better than nothing I suppose. Look at it this way, you'll finally have your long sought after Wii and while you're there you can use that extra ten bucks to buy a giant tub of Gummi Worms and a case of Mountain Dew. Let the good times roll!
