Not every studio is going to be around forever, but unless the people decide to dump the games industry will still be around working on other games, or forming new studios. Hopefully not as a "Conglomerate *Insert region here* studio that's forced to make shadows of great games and DS shovelware.

This is like when someone breaks up with you. You then realize you've gained a few pounds, you were stuck in a rut, you need to try new things. Ensemble didn't do that, they decided to stay frumpy.

It's not that there doesn't always have to be a reason, it's that a reason isn't compelling us to find it.

Space Planet? Perhaps lack of creativity is why they shut down.

I just really want to play an MMO where I get to explore "Space Planet"

looks like the Halo MMO had as much depth as the other Halo games

Hopefully, Robot Entertainment and Bonfire will give us the Ensemble-inspired strategy games in twice the numbers. Then maybe some good will have come from this.

Ensemble is one of my longtime favorite studios, and it's sad to see them go, but it's also way too soon to think that this is necessarily a bad thing. Starting over can be good for innovation, and now we have two new studios with decades of RTS experience behind them!

That Halo MMO still looks like a bad WoW ripoff in the UI department, but who knows. It could of been amazing.

Nobody slept around, nobody hit anybody, but there definitely was a reason.

Too bad it had to end like that. The MMO would be interesting to say at least, I mean, coming from ensemble and all.

And good analogy Luke haha, it made me smile.

I agree with you. I always expected a Halo MMO and I'd say if it was well done (Space and ground battles and usual MMO questing, etc. ) it would be a bit of competition towards WoW.

I don't think I'd like it as an MMORPG. An MMOFPS would be a lot of fun (ah, the good old days of the unpolished Planetside)

@Hazmat_TOI: yeah, that'd be like 80million members on it's first day, but if it were on PC, there would be nobody playing th 360 all year.
