Hey, it's cool, guys. Baabara's a black sheep, so it's okay when she says it.

That is funny. Wrong, but funny. But as users have said, shit like this isn't going to make Nintendo lift the bastardized Friend code system anytime soon. This just goes to show that even with these Friend codes crap like this can still happen. And with Wii speak, people will actually be able to say naughty words! [Shock, horror!]

I say Baabara gets shortlisted for the next Smash bros. and Mario Kart game.

    Heh,

I'd laugh if someone at NoA found this to be Cammie's doing, in another failed attempt to "relate" with her customerbase...

Then again, I'd also laugh if she were getting beaten down with a shovel...

    I need sleep now.

"via a wireless function that allows user-generated catchphrases to spread virally from one game to the next"

Is this the wireless function that actually forms part of the game? (not really up on it, it's my wife that plays it... honest)

Plus if I was a parent and I read "user-generated" and "spread virally" about something my kid played on regularly...

I don't get how they're blaming the internet here...the wireless function they mention I believe is the local one.

That's all we need is for Nintendo to become even more paranoid about internet filth invading their pristine universe...they already make people type in somebody's DNA sequence just to play a Wii game online with them...

You can get new neighbors over wi-fi, too.

I remember getting a new neighbor from someone on GameFAQs who had the catchphrase "fücker"... or something like that.

I believe the Family Circle comic strip contained a running gag using a mythical character called 'Not Me,' who the children would always blame instead of taking responsibility for their own messes.

    Nintendo just blamed 'Not Me.'

Great , now nintendo will remove this sharing feature from the game. You never know what racial slurs will show up on little johny's DS.

Did no one actually play the game? Anyone who has knows that it tells you if you activate the online features of the game that your characters (and any catchphrases you've given them) can migrate to other games, so be careful of what you write. How anyone could think that Nintendo themselves actually put/left that in is beyond me. It's completely user-generated content.

@kokuou: Right, but these were review copies sent directly from Nintendo, which means it was Nintendo employees that were the culprits.

@Chasmang: Or just being called a dumbass. I've seen this kind of thing happen elsewhere and usually it just leads to an internal apology e-mail followed by "lol you dumbass."

The save probably got copied without permission, so blame can't wrest on anyone's head.
