Obviously, this episode was filmed before I marathon played Borderlands for today's review of the Gearbox Software developed game, and well before Mr. Totilo will weigh in on Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable episode. See how young and naive we all were—me, Geoff Keighly, Michael Pachter and Tom Russo—in the era when these games were just a glimmer in our eyes.

<![CDATA[The Bonus Round Talks Brutal Legend, Assassin's Creed II]]> In the second portion of the newest Bonus Round discussion, Geoff Keighley, Michael Pachter, Tom Russo and I talk about two of this year's most anticipated games, Double Fine's Brutal Legend and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II.

If you thrive on cautious optimism and the soothing words of Wedbush Securities Michael Pachter, always available for reasoned debate with a dash of passion, make sure to watch. Now to support the Brutal Legend cause and get around to actually buying the thing.

<![CDATA[Fall's Biggest Games Discussed On The Bonus Round]]> Last week, we visited GameTrailers HQ to chat about fall's biggest games, from Uncharted 2 to Brutal Legend to New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This Bonus Round clip is the result of that visit.

Join me, Michael McWhertor, Geoff Keighley, Michael Pachter and Tom Russo as we shoot the shit about video games in part one of this episode. Just don't view hungry, or you're inevitably going to ingest a KFC Snacker or full bucket of original recipe chicken within the first two minutes. And it's quote possible that putting either of those things in your system could kill you.

<![CDATA[The Bonus Round Talks Motion Control Bundles, Vitality Sensors]]> In part three of our four part Bonus Round discussion, Geoff Keighley, Michael Pachter, Shane Satterfield and I wag our tongues about waggle controls. What's left to talk about? Plenty!

Pachter expresses his thoughts on the bundling opportunities for Project Natal and the Xbox 360, the cheaper PlayStation 3 with PlayStation Eye packed in, and the Wii Plus, the high-definition console he believes Nintendo will introduce some time next year. I talk about my interest in the Wii Vitality Sensor and do so with a straight face and genuine enthusiasm. No, really. Just watch!

But don't be scared by those grumpy looking faces when the video starts. We don't bite.

<![CDATA[Hey, It's Me On The Bonus Round Again]]> Last week, GameTrailers' Geoff Keighley, Shane Satterfield, Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter and Kotaku's I talked about the future of video game controls. This week, we do it some more.

In part two of our Bonus Round discussion, we chat about the high-definition "Wii Plus," Project Natal (again), the possibilities for PlayStation Eye, and if the video game controller as we know it will ever go away. We also get a very up close and personal look at the naked ankles of Michael Pachter. This episode is also solid proof that going back to the gym was a good idea for yours truly.

Motion control enthusiasts, this one's for you!

<![CDATA[Kotaku Joins The Bonus Round To Chat About The Future Of Game Controls]]> Last Friday, we sat down with GameTrailers' Geoff Keighley, Shane Satterfield and Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter to discuss the future of video game interfaces, from the Wii Vitality Sensor to Microsoft's Project Natal. Someone taped it!

In part one of our Bonus Round discussion, Keighley, Pachter, Satterfield and I touch on the Xbox 360's Project Natal as a menu interface device, the prospects of Facebook and Twitter on consoles, Macs versus PCs, and more.

There's even quick mention of Pachter's "retarded" wife and my use of the words "novelty factor" in close relation to the Wii. Damn you, Keighley, for putting words in my mouth! (Please note, however, that I did not laugh during initial mention of the Wii's latest peripheral, then greatly anticipate my assessment of the device's capabilities in a future episode.)

See if you disagree or vehemently disagree with our thoughts on the future of video game interfaces, then feel free to suggest that I wash my hair more often, especially prior to appearing on camera.

<![CDATA[One More Bonus Round Before 2009]]>

What? One more Bonus Round plug?! You betcha! The fifth and final (and I mean it this time) segment features me, Giant Bomb's Ryan Davis and Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter talking about our consoles of the year, the PlayStation 3 in 2009 and maybe one more other item of interest that escapes me right now. See you next year, Geoff Keighley!

<![CDATA[Kotaku Does The Bonus Round: The Denouement]]>

This is it kids, the last chance to see me wax with Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, Giant Bomb [insert title here] Ryan Davis and Bonus Round host Geoff Keighley about video games. We talk about video games, video games and, later, move on to video games before closing out with some video game discussion. Watch as I boil over with rage at the end of the episode when Keighley denies me my opportunity to rant about Ubisoft and its shovelware push in 2008. I'll get you for this, Keighley!!

<![CDATA[Our Bonus Round Assault Continues]]>

Following up on last week's installment of three video game obsessed nerds talking to the telegenic Geoff Keighley, this week's segment of the Bonus Round is lighter on sales talk, heavier on opinions.

Watch as we discuss our favorites from 2008 alongside our disappointments. We also wax about what sequels we want to see and our predictions for Spike TV game of the year. Oh, and don't miss my Care Bear Stare at 13:15.

<![CDATA[Kotaku Invades The Bonus Round]]>

The GameTrailers folks were kind enough to invite us on to the Geoff Keighley-hosted Bonus Round not too long ago, the first part of which went live this weekend. In it, we talk about video games!

The panel included the ever present Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan analysis fame, Ryan Davis from Giant Bomb and me of this site you're reading. The topic? The year in review, which starts off sales heavy — expect later segments to be less numbers focused and potentially more embarrassing.

Before anyone inquires or offer suggestions, I will note that I'm fairly certain I'd washed my hair within three of taping the episode. Give or take.

<![CDATA[Bonus Round Talks E3 Nintendo with Croal, Totilo and Crecente]]> Nintendo has monster sales and two popular systems on their hands, so what now? Nothing, at least that's what N'Gai Croal, Stephen Totilo and I think. Nintendo doesn't need to shake things up at E3 to continue their success. Totilo mentions Animal Crossing, which fits in well with a winter release. I mention peripherals. Maybe both? I could see Nintendo's answer to Webkinz being a blend of Animal Crossing and stuffed animals. Think of the audience, the endless stuffed animals with unlock codes, the potential for more money printing! Is that's Reggie's big surprise?

I also got a chance to float my new Nintendo theory: That Nintendo's new razor blade is the peripheral, not the game. If you recall, back in the day when Nintendo released the NES, they did so with the idea of making money off of the games not the consoles. I think the Wii is a refinement of that idea. Now they're making their money off of peripherals not the games or the consoles. Well, more money.

<![CDATA[Uwe Boll Further Explains Himself To Geoff]]>

Our telegenic guest editor Geoff Keighley was lucky enough to spend some man-to-man time with German director Uwe Boll in the latest Bonus Round, part one of which we showed you earlier this week. In the second part, Geoff tackles the tough questions with Boll. Does Uwe understand the criticism of his work? Is this stuff getting any better? Uwe thinks so. In fact, he goes far enough to compare his movie adaptation of Postal to comedy classics like Monty Python's The Life of Brian and The Naked Gun.

The biggest concession Uwe seems to make about his work in this portion is that plastic surgery disaster Tara Reid "was not optimum actress for Alone In Ze Dark." Ouch. Dogged by Uwe Boll? Poor Tara.

<![CDATA[Uwe Boll Chats Up The Bonus Round]]>

The German director of multiple video game licensed stinkers, Uwe Boll, sat down with our current guest editor Geoff Keighley to talk about all things Uwe recently. In part one of Geoff's sit down with the esteemed director of Bloodrayne and House of the Dead, Uwe explains exactly how his cinematic schlock reaches profitability, discloses his director's fee and reveals why he's so focused on gaming. Does Boll come across as more likable? Less? We'll call it a wash.

<![CDATA[Clip: Jaffe Drops the F-Bomb(s)]]>

Geoff Keighley sits down with David Jaffe for an interesting one-on-one in Game Head's most recent Bonus Round. As usual, Keighley manages to get his interviewee out of his shell and really get into some of the things that matter to him.

For instance, Jaffe talks a bit about the perception that some developers are too humble or not humble enough. His reaction:

A lot of the people who hate me like a lot of the Japanese developers.... I don't ask them this but you read into it and they're like 'Oh, they're very humble. It's like fuck you, man! Why do I have to be humble to you. I don't come out and say I'm a great developer. But do I not earn the right as a fucking human being to have an opinion about something. It's like fuck you up your ass. I can't stand that mentality that you should be all cow-tailing and be like Oh, thank you, thank you, fuck you man.

But how do you really feel Jaffe?

It's a great conversation, the best thing you can say about an interview, I think. Most importantly, you get some amazing insight into what makes the grand designer tick.

<![CDATA[Clip: Keighly, Sierra, GameFly, Pachter Talk Game Prices]]>

Last week Newsweek's N'Gai Croal spoke with Gamehead's Geoff Keighley about his Internet-only show Bonus Round. The three party Q&A is worth a read if you've ever seen or read anything Keighley has done, which is almost 100 percent likely. GameTrailers sent N'Gai this trailer for their upcoming show which has Sierra Online president Ed Zobrist, Gamefly co-founder Sean Spector, and Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter all talking next-gen game pricing.
