    I've become so fed up lately with all these "instruments" where to make music all you have to do is press a point on the screen. When I was little, our toy instruments were just bad sounding casio keyboards. Now all you do is tilt your iphone a little bit and you're "making" music.

    @ethanlechcharles:

    You can make music by humming, whistling, or drumming your fingers on a desk. I think so long as the output is still really based on the input of the user and not just canned, then making the tools to create any art more accessible is a positive thing.

    It's still a far cry from being a professional musician, and a world from being an audio engineer, but it's an extremely positive thing giving a creative outlet to the masses.

    With this kind of economic crisis, how do people still find time to do things like this..

    This sounds remarkably similar to the new Kanye album.

    @subsonicbeatbox: Hehe, i see what you did there ;)

    I liked the album, it sounds really different to what US artists usually do. It´s not original in any way though, since i felt it was inspired a lot in m-flo and other japanese musicians (Kanye actually recorded with Verbal from m-flo and Teriyaki Boys, so it´s not a conspiracy theory)

    It's actually growing on me. I thought Kanye's other albums were stupendous and I'm trying to give this one it's due course.

    I'm intrigued....can you give me some more specific examples??

    I'm a huge Teriyaki Boyz fan, and have been to four m-flo concerts....and I am yet to make the connection.

    Damn. And right after I vowed to excommunicate all Christmas music from my life. I can't resist any 8-bit charms.

    It is very clear that inspiration for all the latest Hip Pop originated from 8 bit. Since garbage artists forgot how to elevate your mind with rhymes...

    Now is there a digital distribution anywhere?

    @PsycheE: Copious amounts of autotuning and bitcrushing does not 8-bit make. BUT, Hip Hop HAS certainly taken a hit in the last 15 years or so. Of course, honorable men may differ.
