I hope that if there are more Mass Effect games after Mass Effect 3, that they're prequels. I'm expecting my choices at the end of Mass Effect 3 to completely change the galaxy. For example, I don't think Bioware could make a sequel playable both for people who will wipe out the Geth and people who will wipe out the Turians.
Dammit, just over a month left, this wait is killing me :(
I feel so spoiled by BioWare this gen, I remember being sad when Knights of the Old Republic ended and got a "meh" sequel by another dev, and now we're going to have 3 awesome Mass Effect games.
@godot: I hope not, I'm getting tired of how all the amazing single player experiences are either being dropped in favour of multiplayer or coop games or just being transformed into a multiplayer or coop game themselves. Mass Effect is fine the way it is - World of Warcraft has the MMO market down, don't need another one.
@godot: Tabula Rasa was basically a worse version of this. I feel like an MMO version of the very polished Mass Effect series might not crash and burn like TR did.
@Garro: they will also probably pull off 'Knights of the Old Republic' just fine too, but im completely bared from playing it because of my bandwith limit, weak connection, and very limited budget. i for one would rather they just include a damn coop or something and leave the reast the way it is.
So by being easier to develop storywise, does that mean it'll be easier to get the third game out faster?=D Can't wait for the third part in any trilogy as the second one usually ends on a cliffhanger...
#10 is exactly what I wanted. Call me a vain gamer girl but seriously I like my Sheppard looking snazzy all the time and the pink armor from the last game on Wrex nearly made me vomit.
@holidays! cat: I know *exactly* what you mean. I absolutely hated that armor, especially how it would clash with his head-flame-plate-chitin thing. Especially the fact that some of the armors just looked plain weird. Looks like they're heading toward stylish and visceral, which I love as an art direction.
@holidays! cat: Changing his armor to look how you want makes me incredibly happy as well.
There are multiple times that I've refused to upgrade armor 'cause I didn't like the colors.
Thankfully, most of the upper tier armor was okay enough to look at, but personalization from the get-go looks nice.
Only thing I would ask is that I can later change the look of my armor again, like some sort of option on the Normandy or something of that nature. I get picky, and change my characters clothes frequently, if I have the option.
Seriously, ask my friends about my Live Avatar. All the time. Drives 'em bonkers.
@plasticmouse: Huh? You mean I didn't have to buy a 360? (one of the reasons I bought it was because I wanted to play THIS GAME...) I thought there weren't going to be any more Gears of Wars and Mass Effects for the PC... ?
@mariospants: Yep it's on the PC too. Still, on the bright side now you can choose the best version. Also you can now play 360 games so it's not all bad!
@plasticmouse: Except for the fact that people like mariospants and I who bought the first on the 360 thinking it would be an exclusive, would not be able to carry over our saved games to the pc version.
I will pay Bioware 1 Billion Internet dollars if they include the line: "What's wrong with you? Did a Jawa get sand in your vagina?" in a quest that takes place on that planet.
I want to be stoked but after getting totally screwed in a ME1 playthrough with a corrupted save game, I have no desire to restart that one nor to play this one.
@Karlott: You don't want to play this one because of a corrupted save file in the first? I can see why it would be frustrating to replay the first (despite great replayability), but not playing the second out of spite is just stupid.
@Taggart6 is Tiger Woods Mistress 342: I think you're able to tweak your character yourself, if you so choose. Though I'm sure there's going to be some change in the graphics for this game, so some changes to the character may happen no matter what.
@Taggart6 is Tiger Woods Mistress 342: I'm pretty sure the only thing that will transfer over is the decisions you made in regards to the story. Stuff such as *SPOILERS for those that have not played Mass Effect 1* whether you added Wrex to your squad, saved Ashley or Kaiden, or had the Alliance Fleet save the Citadel Council. Stats and character level will not be transfered to Mass Effect 2.
@Taggart6 is Tiger Woods Mistress 342: They haven't said much about it, so I'm guessing it's not going to play that big of a part. Though you'll probably see the characters you didn't end up killing at some point.
The first thing I thought of when seeing the first screenshot was
"Why does TF2 look realistic there? And why the hell is that medic shooting fire from his blutsauger?"
The war update is making me play unhealthy amounts of TF2
ME2 looks yummy (despite Miranda's in-game rendering being a little, er, odd). I'm so optimistic about it that it's the first RPG I've pre-ordered since... Chrono Cross.
My slighty younger brother got a 360, then sold it. My really younger brother got a 360 then sold it.
This is the game that's going to get ME to finally get one! I loved LOVED the first one. I've never been so pushed by a narrative to finish a game before. Some epic moments despite its flaws and the sequel looks phenomenal.

I actually felt the first game was a bit of a let down. Still had a blast with it, but never got as hooked as I thought I would.
