Can't wait, as this is the only officially announced FPS I'm looking forward to. I wish they'd drop the regenerative health, but that's probably not happening. Anyway, here's hoping I can get into the PS3 and PC betas without going to Gamestop...
Also, has it actually been stated somewhere that the PS3 is the lead platform for BF:BC2? Seems like people are making an assumption there. I think this beta coming to the PS3 and not the 360 could just be evening things out, since the first BC beta was a 360 exclusive.
Is it wishful thinking to think the reason for exclusivity is that they're actually going to make improvements from this beta as opposed to using it as a demo? #battlefieldbadcompany2
I'm liking the preorder- based betas. Beats having to find obscure websites and filling out registration surveys, then having to wait for acceptance. #battlefieldbadcompany2
[Insert long ass rant about the bullshit trend requiring reserves to participate in betas here]
Though it does kinda make sense, I mean like those that reserve the game are your customers after all. But then again, I am only interested in BF:BC2 because of the MP beta on the 360. Which was the only reason I was interested in BF:BC. #battlefieldbadcompany2
Woot I wonder why PS3 exclusive. Maybe their having a hard time working on the code. Voice Chat is still messed up on 1943. What ever cant wait. #battlefieldbadcompany2
@nikeforces: EA loves making games for the PS3 first then porting over to the 360, so in other words, right now the PS3 version is more or less the only version they have. #battlefieldbadcompany2
@Koda89: I didn't know that. Wow for the first time since i owned a PS1. the console i picked isnt the treated like red headed stepchild by EA(owned a xbox last gen). #battlefieldbadcompany2
@DigitalHero: Not sure what you're talking about here. PC has been their 'lead platform' since the beginning, and although recently they've shifted focus to consoles (though still keeping PC in mind- bless their hearts), i can't see any reason to say that PS3 is their 'lead platform.' #battlefieldbadcompany2
@Win Laik Pya: DICE has been using the PS3 as a lead platform for awhile. Mirror's Edge is an example.
"The latest edition of Official Playstation Magazine revealed that DICE's platform of choice for Mirror's Edge is the PS3. DICE revealed the the PS3 will indeed by the lead platform for the game."
@DigitalHero: Not entirely surprising that they use the PS3 as lead platform. PS3 is such a POS to program for in multiplats that not doing so would almost guarantee an inferior PS3 version.
Making it lead plat at least gives the PS3 a shot at having a comparable experience to the 360/PC. #battlefieldbadcompany2
@DigitalHero: If PS3 is the lead platform for BC2 they why has the 360 version of the game been trotted out to the various game shows over the past year? #battlefieldbadcompany2
I've been in the beta for awhile and love it. I played DotA some too but wasn't what you would call "hardcore" Here is a link to a comparison of LoL to DotA that Riot posted awhile back, it highlights some differences between the two pretty well.
@darkewolfe:
So far it is. There has been a smidgen of elitism by a small number of people that I saw in HoN, but for the most part everyone has been pretty civil and works together (for the most part).
I'd say it's easier to get into the community in LoL, and nicer to newbies to the genre. #leagueoflegends
@TuxBobble:
It's quite decent. Still some things to be worked out (it is a brand new game after all). Trying to move the genre forward (forgot what they dubbed the genre. Something like multiplayer online battle arena or something) which is a good thing.
I'm mainly intrigued in the rune system and masteries (skill trees). #leagueoflegends
It runs better from the downloaded client than in the browser, which was giving me lag. The client also gives you more screen real estate and removes the ad.
That said...holy crap! Furries are one of my top 3 phobias and I really like this game. It's f2p WoW, with some nifty additions, including a very cool player housing system, high drop rate on equipment, excellent dungeon rewards system, moveable UI (without mods!) and good art direction/world design.
Most importantly, it's not Korean, and therefore has wonderfully non-engrish text, clear and useful tutorials and generally lacks that "ugh..." factor that accompanies games from my ancestral homeland. /shame
Though it does have a couple issues, as a beta it's miles ahead of similar, completed f2p games.
Quick tip: click the red diamond on the left of your hotkey bar to open additional hotkey bars. Took me a while to figure that out.

@DubSkins: It is the enemy that we harbor unknowingly. His name is mutant, furry and deviant. He is the foe that will destroy us as no other can. He leads us before a hellish throne to dance enfeebled and imbecilic for the lewd pleasures of dark gods.
Burn the furry and the heretic that shelters him! Burn the furry porn artist and those that worship him! Burn the deviant and those tainted by him! Let their deaths purify us so that in dying their bodies serve mankind as in life they never could.

I expected words to fly out towards me really fast somewhere in the middle after the stills.
Great announcement otherwise. I already preordered the game but the employee didnt say anything. I'll have to check what's up. #battlefieldbadcompany2

With the exclusive beta on PS3, it appears that the trend continues.

I have no idea why. It could be studio politics as well affecting that. #battlefieldbadcompany2

Still, i wouldn't be so hasty as to declare PS3 their lead platform.
That's just me. Could be wrong, though. #battlefieldbadcompany2

P.S.-When exactly does this beta end? 27th? With "Season One" in early 2010? Or sometime before/after that?

Is the game community any better than the DOTA/HoN community? I really enjoy HoN, but the community enrages me to the point of not wanting to log in.

Logged in last week and saw they added a bunch of heroes. #leagueoflegends

There are a ton of champions each with unique abilities. So whatever your playstyle is there is a champion for you.
The game launches on the 27th. #leagueoflegends
