Great list, although i need to get Audiosurf right after i get a new computer. I want to see it on my HD display while rocking to Infected Mushroom songs. So awesome.

Yes. These awards are spot on, even to the points where I don't agree. Judge's Awards are highly the right sort of way to go.

The lack of "dying" isn't why people are complaining about how easy PoP turned out to be. It is way too easy because of the "pop to your target" platforming, one button platforming, dreadfully easy and bland combat and lame backtracking level design.

What ever happened to the acrobatic and awesome combat from the Sands of Time?

@KillerBee: Do you mean the combat of the Sands of Time trilogy or the combat of The Sands of Time game? The combat in Warrior Within and Two Thrones was decent, but I thought the combat in Sands of Time was pretty bad.

@jettokisora: I loved Lost Odyssey. I haven't cried playing a game in a LONG time, but I did while playing it. That being said, aside from the story, the gameplay was about as by the numbers JRPG as you could get.

Persona 4 completely deserves the accolades it has been receiving. It's been a totally engrossing experience - it's made me thoughtful at times and made me laugh out loud many times.

I'm only at 37 hours or so (In August), and when I saw the *VERY MINOR SPOILER* video-game themed dungeon,*END SPOILER*, my mouth had a massive grin that just wouldn't go away.

@jayntampa: it's made you curse a few times as well! ;) But yes, it has also made me laugh quite a bit. It is an awesome game, in all respects. Pretty much the PS2's last hurrah, and a fitting one, at that. :)
