Man how did I miss this? Convention was set up/run by 2 friends, more power to them :) Wish I lived in South Florida to support it, but it's a 4 or 5 hour drive away :( #infinitebits
Actually Boca Raton is on the east coast of Florida. We would have accepted Ft. Myers, St. Augustine, and St. Petersburg as gulf coast cities with lots of old people.
Only in South Florida could you have cities named Boca Raton and Miami Gardens, and Boca Raton (which means Snake Mouth) is the safer city of the 2.
...and my mistake was more egregious. Why would St. Augustine (only known for being the country's oldest city) be on the Gulf Coast? Like Ponce de Leon said, "We have discovered the new world after a long, treacherous journey, but let's not make landfall right away. Instead, let us sail around this land mass for another couple months before settling."
This is actually pretty badass in an weird sort of way.
Now, if someone can make a Nathan Fillion pinball from scratch and in high-quality and willing to sell it afterwards, I'll most likely be there with cash on hand!

@cutechao999: I'm with you. I'd love to see pinball have its renaissance, complete with new tech. Most pinball people seem to be traditionalists though, so I doubt it will ever happen.
Example: Williams tried updating pinball in the late 90s with 'Revenge from Mars' and 'Star Wars Episode I,' which you should check out if you've never heard of them.
They were a cool, new take on pinball, mixing in aspects of video games. They also flopped and were the last games Williams ever made before going under, so that tells you something about messing with the proven pinball formula.
@qhue: I'm pretty sure he gets quite a lot of money from people who commission him to make console mods. That money kinda frees him up to work at a "real" job less, which gives him more time to play Frankenstein.

EDIT: Thx for the promotion.

Is there another St Augustine other than the one up on the river near Jacksonville? That's not gulf coast by a long shot either =)
