Bad Company is great.

But believe me when I say that battlefield Heroes is horrible.

I gave up on that game a few months ago.

onestly though, BF:BC seemed like a good game. I only played the beta and seen friends playing the main game but my own experiance from the beta was disappointing. I'm not saying it was a bad game and it certainly did some great things but for me, personally, it was just another console FPS rather than what it should have been.

I have no idea why the PC gamers are crying as much as they are, but goddamn Enigma. Go take a quick glance over that the 1943 Forum at EA... you'll see about 80 percent of the threads are 'PC GETS SLOPPY SECONDS WHAT THE FUCK' and 'DICE CAN SUCK MY DICK' over 1943 being a console game first and pc game second.

I'm excited and looking forward to it, but not anything PC people should be taking shits over.

EA kept the lid on BF3 for well over a year now and the PC BF fans kept felt like they were getting shit on. first it was BF: Bad Company, a console only game, then BF: Heroes, which didn't exactly win over the BF PC audience, and lastly, BF1943 got delayed for the PC.

I can perfectly understand their frustration as I share some of those same feelings. unfortunately, like any fanboy, console or PC, they lack all forms of constructive criticism.

@on3nightstan: This. While I certainly wasn't going on any forums whinging like a kid. I can very much understand the frustration as I feel it.

It would be like if Halo or MGS were suddenly announced as exclusives for their opposite platforms and then when a multiplat title did come out, it was delayed for it's root system. Certainly, if that happened, people would be up in arms over it and calling it ridiculous.

Sounds like they're quite the emo kiddies. They should know better than that. As a true BF fan (not limited to the PC) I knew they would never abandon the hardcore PC crowd that made them what they are.

@MrKlorox: You should know better than that, this generation has seen a load of PC developers become console developers who view PC as an afterthought and in the case of DICE, they very much snubbed PC Battlefield fans this generation (BF:BC being console only, 1943 being delayed for PC until september).

I agree that they were being emo by whinging and whining about BF3 on forums constantly but at the same time, what other outlet do they have to express their concerns to DICE?

BF2 was a good game... but it was one of the buggiest games for a LONG LONG time as well.

Lets hope that part is at least nailed down. And obvious changes so it doesnt feel dull.

Battlefield 2 was great, but Call of Duty 4 exposed the problem with abundance of vehicles in first person shooters. BF2 was fun but it was a vehicle fest, you rarely fought people on the ground which kind of defeats the purpose a little bit.

I love this series, so I'll be watching the development closely.

@fdisk: You played BF2 because of the vehicles otherwise you were off playing America´s Army or Counterstrike.

Battlefield without the combination of heavy vehicle combat(be it air,ground or so EA wills water)and infantry simply isnt Battlefield.

@Chibirazi: Exactly. Or they were the people who didn't know what BF was, heard good things, picked it up, then bitched that there were vehicles until DICE put out infantry-only to shut them up.

This game is too different from every other FPS on the market! Fix it!

P.S. That's not referring to you fdisk, just the annoying people who came into the franchise and then complained about one of the things that set it apart.

@FireBurger: Well Infantry only can be great craic on certain maps and certainly on 64 player maps, infantry only can be a breath of fresh air.

But I digress, Battlefield wouldn't be Battlefield without the vehicles. The last thing they should do especially with a true sequal is remove vehicles and I'm sorry to disagree with you fdisk, but COD4 exposed no problems with the Battlefield series, it was just the big new game that took over but both BF2 and BF2142 still have a very strong community.

@Raynre: There was both a Battlefield 2 AND Battlefield 2142. Never played 2, but I was a big fan of 2142. I'm not sure what constitutes your definition of failure, but it was quality and had pretty large communities at last check.
