<![CDATA[The Space Invaders Bathroom]]>

Kotakuite Stefan sends news Vienna, Austria of a Space Invaders inspired bathroom in an art gallery called INOPERAbLE. The bathroom is cool, but even more interesting is the site that is hosting the video footage of the fancy can. It's a museum/shop dedicated to video game culture called Subotron. We've posted a few tidbits about it here and there, but if you are unfamiliar allow me to enlighten you with one of the only portions of the shop's website that's in English.

The SUBOTRON SHOP is positioned at the cutting edge of electronics, gaming, music, and design and explores the historic and future development of computer, video, and telegames in a sociocultural context.

The permanent exhibition of handhelds and consoles from the Neufeld collection forms the basis of its inventory. All devices can be played and purchased and the shop also sells textiles, literature, music, and gadgets from around the world.

The SUBOTRON Association for the Promotion of Electronic Game Culture organizes lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and concerts on gameculture since 2005. It started the scientific and artistic studies of computer- & videogames in Vienna.

Sounds like a pretty sweet place and if I ever get out to Vienna I will be sure to drop by for a look see. But, if you would like to explore the wonder of INOPERAbLE's Space Invaders themed bathroom, check out Subotron's website for a video.

<![CDATA[Dirty German PS3 Magazine Inferno!]]>

Remember her? Not only does she jump on the bed for the PS3, she sits on the john. Swell, huh?

Here's a new PS3 lifestyle mag from Germany, Austria and Switzerland called CONSOUL, which had the subtitle of "Welcome to high definition lifestyle." And that lifestyle includes a woman in her underwear on the toilet! The first edition of the print mag ran at 500,000 copies and is available free of charge in the countries mentioned. (Anyone who's got it, scan it and send it along so we can post!) The "independent" Sony pub features articles on sports, fashion, design, music and movies — Along with info on the PS3 and non sequitur photos. Says Uwe Bassendowski, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Germany:

With CONSOUL we look directly at the lifestyle of our customers. We address all, the fun of new emerging gadgets, the digital life of the internet, and naturally our outstanding games and films.

Anyone else got another can of What-The-Fuck? I'm all out.

<![CDATA[A Mario To Wipe Your Face With]]>

Graphic-designer-by-day, blogger-by-night Martin Taylor has a neat series of pics up of a Japanese Super Mario Bros. towel he snagged in Brighton. Though, I'm not sure which I like better: The towel or the bathroom.

<![CDATA[The Coolest Gaming Bathroom]]> bathtv.jpg

The votes are in for our contest to pick the coolest reader game room. The winner is the guy sitting on the toilet playing what looks to be Duck Hunt on a 12-inch Sylvania. Mr. Bath Room won with a whopping 456 votes, or 33 percent of the total. Who says Kotaku readers don't have taste.

We'll be shipping out a Kilowatt excercise gaming thingie to the bathroom guy, who lives in Canada by the way, in the next week. I hope he sends us pictures of that thing wedged in between his bathtub and toilet.

Stay tuned for more exciting bathroom-free contests in the coming weeks. —Brian Crecente
