If you keep buying them, Amazon will keep posting them! Today Amazon is getting their groove on with deals on games involving dance and rhythm. The Deal of the Day? They've got the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock bundle on all systems for only $59.99 ($49.99 PS2), which is like getting the game and a free guitar...sort of.

Along with the Deal of the Day they are also holding Gold Box deals on games throughout the day, with the first - Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party for the Wii at $49.99 just about gone as I write this. The next deal starts at 10AM Pacific and looks to be Rock Band, with the remaining two consisting of a Singstar title, and possibly one of those trays for cooking bacon in the microwave. Amazon is in the middle of another Gold Box Wii game day, where a different Wii game is available for a discounted price every couple of hours. This one sort of snuck up on us, so as of right now the deal of the day, Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games, is still available for the low price of $29.99. As for the timed special, so far all we've missed is Cabela's Big Game Hunter for $19.99, which is really no big loss. As this post goes live we're smack dab in the middle of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for $64.99, with new games coming at 2pm and 6pm Pacific time. Who knows what wondrous values await us?

Amazon wants to make shopping for Wii games fun! This Friday, starting at 12:01 AM Pacific time, Amazon will be putting up an unspecified Wii game as their Gold Box Deal of the Day, which will be available all day as long as supplies last. Then at 6 AM and every four hours after that until 10 PM, Amazon will be putting up Lighting Deals - games that are only available at the discounted price for those four hours. Sound like fun? Oh come on, you know you want to check Amazon.com every four hours to see what game they're going to discount. Just wish they wouldn't keep us in suspense. I don't want to wait until 6 PM Friday afternoon to discover that the last bargain Wii game of the day is Ninjabread Man.

ECA Cuts Military Spending

You read that right, the Entertainment Consumers Association, an organization dedicated to promoting consumer advocacy with concerns to political issues involving gaming, has cut military spending by 25%. Granted the discount only applies to military personnel who wish to join the ECA, and it only comes out to five bucks off the normal fee of $19.99 a year, but hey, it's something! It's all thanks to GamePolitics.com regular and ECA member Robert Kalal, stationed in Turkey with the Air Force, who wanted to promote the association to his fellow servicemen.

"We're excited to extend our 25 percent Student Discount for annual membership dues to all active service men and women with a valid dot mil domain extension," said Hal Halpin, president of the ECA.
