Take a t-shirt and apply the Bape sub-label Baby Milo. That's eighty bucks already. You're almost half way there. Next, make it exclusive to the members-only online store Nigo's Favorite Shop. Finally, add Japanese import mark up and you've easily reached $175. The designs, featuring artwork from the Bape branded Nintendo DSs released earlier this year, may not be spectacular enough to warrant nearly two-hundred bucks in t-shirt purchases, but it's not outrageous for retailers to ask this much money.

How do I know this? The shirts went online yesterday and are already sold out.

<![CDATA[An Even Fancier Bape DS Lite]]> The Bathing Ape/Nintendo collaboration on a limited run of DS consoles was a popular one. No, actually, not popular. Crazy popular. So one can only imagine the fervour Japanese collectors are going to whip themselves into for this: a gold one. Yes, same console, same print, just this time, it's gold, which is the universal symbol for "betterer and more expensive". Get a good look at it, because you'll never own one. Ever.

<![CDATA[Curvy Japanese Bikini Lady Shows Us Bape Nintendo DS]]> If you've spent time on the Japanese nerd internet, you've seen images like this: Pin-up model posing with game hardware. Very common! This, this one's got a little more. That's curvy swimsuit model Yuuri Morishita holding the pricey and hard-to-get Baby Milo/Bape limited edition Nintendo DS. While we noticed that this DS was somewhat popular, we haven't actually seen a non promo image of the Bape DS! So here it is. With this lady. And look at that, the limited edition DS looks like a regular DS with stickers on it. A shot of the DS on what looks like Morishita's mattress or something.

<![CDATA[The Bape DS Is Somewhat Popular]]> Like the looks of those limited edition Baby Milo/Nintendo DS handhelds? Best of luck trying to find one. This vid was taken on the first morning the console went on sale in Japan. As you can see, the line outside Bape's flagship store in Aoyama, Tokyo was...considerable.

<![CDATA[Bape Nintendo DS Now Available For A Ridiculous Sum]]> Label conscious Nintendo fans will want to perk up their ears and check their credit card balances, as the Baby Milo by A Bathing Ape limited edition Nintendo DS has been released. It retails for 16800 yen (now about $167), but we wish you great luck in securing one at that price. The newly revamped (and finally usable) Bape web site lists the item at its standard price, but Bape reseller Boboshop is selling the white version for an impressive 44940 yen. That translates to about $447 US if you're considering it.

You may want to call in a big favor to a friend in Japan to see if there are any left at the official Bape stores. No word yet on whether it's available at the New York, London or other Asian locations. And that gold version? I'm betting it's just shy of impossible to get.

<![CDATA[A Bathing Ape Comes To DS]]> Japanese clothing label A Bathing Ape (aka Bape) is the latest to lend its signature brand to the Nintendo DS, with new white and gold portables hitting in April. Nintendo's Mario and Bape's Baby Milo will adorn the packaging and the top half of the DS, the latter of which mimics the familiar Louis Vuitton pattern that has adorned overpriced baggage for decades.

Like many things Bape, we suspect that these DS Lites will be in short supply and go for a mint when they're out of stock.
