This is a good step, but there's no reason I'm aware of that Azure Palace should've been taken down for in the first place. Good levels like this should be either protected, or it shouldn't be so easy for trolls to ruin things.

World of Colour was still down last night when I tried playing. I hope that level doesn't get lost by the wayside just because of poor moderation policies and a lack of public support.

I'm confused as to how the littlebigworkshop.com site can have Spiderman, Spawn, and Captain America sackboy "inspirations", and yet users of the game can't have a Mario inspired level. What's the difference? I'm assuming that MM and Sony don't own the Spiderman franchise, right? I'm glad that the level mentioned in this article was brought back, but really, there should be little to no moderation in the game.

There should, however, be a rating system, so that you can block out levels that are rated to be mature or offensive so that kids don't have access to those.

Either way, the game has been out for a couple of weeks now, and it's time to get on the ball and fix some of these complaints. It's honestly the best game of the year, but with the problems, it's slowly becoming one of the worst problem games as well.

Get 'er dUN SONY and MM!

I'm wondering whether or not a bunch of jealous losers flagged 'Azure Palace' for moderation. If the GameFAQs thread is anything to go by, more than a few people think that it's "overrated", which would lend credence to the idea that a handful of spiteful dick-holes flagged the level out of spite. People can be such jackasses...

@SudhamayiKabong: when the moderation hammer first started coming down, i recall hearing people talking on other forums about going in and reporting completely inoffensive levels to show sony that their system was broken. i almost believe world of colour and azure palace were casualties of that.

@SeraphX2: i could be wrong but i remember world of colour being a very bright level that really benefits from co op play. if i recall, it was heavily based on colour matching, and there are parts where you have to grab/dissolve a bunch of stuff, use jet packs, etc.

if people are griefing levels cause they're not fun, you'd think they could just rate them 1 or 2 two stars. but hey, that's just me. ;)

Why do they need any moderation at all? why can't they just let the free online community upload what it wants, if someone complains (eg Nintendo over mario type levels) then that level gets removed.

And said company gets named and shamed for stifling the creative progress of humanity.

@MasterBiter: all that said, i would prefer to enjoy a level of lbp where i don't have to encounter 1) yanking a turd out of an oversized farting butt 2) pulling a tampon from a giant vagina, and 3) helping abort a fetus. i won't play this game without some moderation- it's why i'm not on 4chan instead of kotaku.

and yes, i played the aforementioned the other day. i was even willing to let the scat part slide but as i soon discovered it was only downhill from there. :p

all three are arguably necessary in the real world, but still. what is wrong with people. all i could picture was some mother watching over her little snowflake's shoulder as the (admittedly cartoonish) horror played out on their "rated E for everyone" purchase.

i'm only being slightly facetious when i say they should've just rated the damned thing a pre-emptive M. it's never stopped a lot of parents before.

yes, it's a tired meme, but this is why we can't have nice things.

Thank god. I must have played this level like 20 times trying to get the good ending. It's a great level.

I wish Sony would adopt the "It's okay until someone complains" model for moderating. It saves them a ton of a work, and saves us a ton of grief.
