This unique pony, decked out in Master Chief's Mjolnir armor, is almost exactly how we pictured it in the many fanfics we've read on the My Little Pony-Halo crossover forums and certainly not too rich for our blood.

Just think, your little Master Pony will always be there right by your side. He'll be there right by your side. Definitely worth dropping $100-plus on to get the promised hand-sculpted assault rifle. Bid early and often, folks.

Buy Bungie's Halo Soda Machine 894a_2.jpg The Bungie folks are auctioning off the Halo Mountain Dew vending machine that's been sitting in their office forever. The machine is signed and illustrated by the entire team and features Halo's Master Chief from the second game. The machine has never actually been used, so it's in terrific condition. All proceeds for the auction will go to The Make a Wish Foundation. If you're a HUGE Halo fan this is probably a one-of-a-kind get. The auction is currently at a whopping $15,000 and doesn't include the shipping charge, which is likely to set you back another $200 to $2,000 depending on where you live in the U.S.

If Bungie really loved children they'd throw in a steak dinner with Luke Smith.

Sega Dreamcast - NIB! dreamcast.jpg Wow. You certainly don't run across these every day. Goodwill Industries is auctioning off a NIB Sega Dreamcast. The system comes with the system CDs and an extra controller. No games are included but those aren't too tough to find - even Amazon has a wide variety from third-parties.

My Dreamcast is still running beautifully and Soul Calibur still looks great on it so I can attest to the longevity of the system. I am curious however to know the story behind how this wound up at Goodwill in the first place. I hope that some college student doesn't go home at Spring Break to find that his collection of vintage gaming systems has been cleared out to make room for Christmas decorations by Mom.

Buy Every Single Japanese Dreamcast Game At Once I don't normally like posting eBay auctions. I find something about them inherently tragic. But this one, oh boy, this one is just nice to look at. Some bloke in France is selling every Japanese Dreamcast game ever made. Every single one. 606 of them. Even awesome rare stuff like De La Jet Set Radio. Oh, and did I mention they're all sealed? They're all sealed. All 606 of them. Sure, bidding starts at $20,000, but for the entire Japanese Dreamcast collection, sealed, that may well constitute a bargain.

Rare Atari Game For Sale, Got Half A Mil Handy? gammaattack.jpg Ever hear of Gamma Attack? Was put out by Gammation for the Atari 2600 back in the day. It's bright, it's colourful, and it's also very, very rare. Someone who's claiming to own a copy of the game has just put it up for auction. Starting bid? Oh, $499,999. And ninety-nine cents. Is the game even worth that much? It's definitely rare, but...who knows. Probably not. That's an awful lot of money. At least you'll save on shipping, though: the seller will only part with the game if you arrange a face-to-face meeting with him. Which all sounds a bit fishy, but then, would you write a cheque for half a mil? No. Because when a chance pops up that you can fill a briefcase full of cash, meet a stranger in a deserted car park and exchange the goods under the watchful eyes of hired goons, you take it. Especially when it involves an Atari game, and not something more serious, like biological weapons, high-grade narcotics or, I don't know, your daughter.

Halo "Mister Chief" Painting Fetching Over $4000 On eBay MR. MISTERBungie's community manager, content monkey and, now, accomplished pastel artist Frank O'Connor's piece "Here Lies the Last Sip of the Bourgeoisie Malaise Consommé" featuring the infamous Mister Chief from Halo (sort of) is currently going for thousands on eBay. Price tag at time of publish? An impressive $4150. With three days to go, there's plenty of time for the original artwork to skyrocket in price.

Why should you care? Proceeds from the auction will go to the Brian Morden Foundation to help fund Ewing's Sarcoma and childhood cancer research. Bust out your checkbook and your goodwill if you've got the cash. If not, read the artist's statement at Bungie.net. It will haunt you.

Sealed Copy of Chrono Trigger Auction Closes at Over 1k The auction for the sealed copy of Chrono Trigger I wrote about yesterday has closed and the coveted game went or a whopping $1,217. The winning bidder will be a bit poorer but will have one hell of a piece of game history in their hands. If you're itching to drop a load of money on a sealed SNES game and missed out on this one, you can still get a bid in on this copy of MegaMan X2. Opening bid is $1,000. I'm truly amazed... Sealed Chrono Trigger Fetching a High Price on eBay How much is a really good old game worth to you? What if it was still in it's original shrink wrap? According to eBay, the right game can be worth quite a bit to the right people. A seller is currently hosting an auction for a sealed copy of Chrono Trigger for the Super Nintendo that has shot up to an amazing $420.55. With thirty bidders and a day and a half still left to place bids, something tells me it will go even higher. My question is, what will the winner do with their expensive prize? Will they open it and play with it or will it become a pricey knick-knack that will take up shelf space and no doubt garner the envy of hardcore Chrono Trigger fans.

Win A Copy Of Grand Theft Auto III, Signed By Jack Thompson We've seen people go to extreme lengths for both charity and eBay auctions, but this particular item, a copy of Grand Theft Auto III allegedly signed by fan fave Jack Thompson at VGXPO, combines the two in an attractive package. According to the listing, the PlayStation 2 version of the game can be yours (we think) for the low, low price of $4,000, the proceeds of which will be redirected in full to the Child's Play charity. There's even a picture of the signee and auction lister—who we're told is not TV's famous Wil Wheaton—to aid in the proof of authenticity.

What is suspect, however, is whether you actually get the signed copy of the game for your four large, seemingly the entire point of dropping this much cash on a used PS2 game. The eBay listing comes with the unclear note "Please note: I do not actually want to sell this. I am just listing it for show and to hopefully win a contest. However, if you want to spend $4000 on this then I will donate 100% of the proceeds to Child's Play Charity." The seller does have a 99.9% positive rating, so I wager you'll be satisfied. If you do decide to give up the cash, let us know when (and if) you get it.

The studio managed to get their hand on one of the last Daxter PSP Entertainment packs around and then had everyone at Ready at Dawn Studios. Win a Wii... and a House... and a Car... Wait, WHAT?! We've all seen some crazy auctions on eBay before. Organs, porn, super rare vintage games, entire gaming collections and overpriced gaming console bundles, but this Wii bundle really takes the cake. How would you feel if I offered to sell you a Wii for a mere $9,876,543.00? Ok, now what if I threw in a fully furnished, two story North Carolina house and a BMW?

This is exactly what eBay auctioneer kyleselectronicsplus07 is doing at this very moment. It is made quite clear in the description that the price is for the Wii ONLY and the rest of the goodies are free bonuses. The seller seems to have a good reputation and 10% of the sale goes to Charlotte ReStore - Habitat for Humanty. Certainly an admirable cause, but could this truly be for real? And what exactly is the story behind someone willing to give up their entire life over eBay, although at that price I suppose you could afford an all new one a couple times over.

The auction has nine days to go and in news that will surprise no one, it currently has no bids. I'm going to continue watching this just to see exactly what happens with it and I'll report back on it next weekend as it gets closer to the end of the bid. Check below for the full description.

This auction is for one (1) Brand New Never Opened Nintendo Wii Console Sports Edition with 5 Games. This also includes Wii Play Bundle that comes with an extra Remote and 9 Wii Play Games. With the purchase of the Wii console, we will also throw in for free our Charlotte, North Carolina 2-story, single-family home. This house was built and purchased new in 2006 for $240,000 and is within walking distance to major attractions such as Bank of America Stadium (Carolina Panthers) & Bobcats Arena (Charlotte Bobcats). You are also only minutes away from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, I-485, I-85, I-77, and many uptown restaurants. Everything in the house is yours if wanted, including a Brand New 46" Sony Bravia Full 1080p LCD HDTV along with all the furniture and appliances. We will personally drive and deliver this Wii with all the accessories listed once payment has been received and cleared. Once we hand you the Wii, we will also hand you the car keys and house keys to both our home in Charlotte and a 2002 BMW 330i. We will even have you(1) and up to 5 other family members or friends (for a total of 6) flown in to see the house and city and will also pay to have you moved up to Charlotte from anywhere in the continental United States. This is to be the most DELUXE and EXCLUSIVE listing for any Wii that there will ever be on eBay. If you choose, you will have nothing to do but to hop on a plane with 5 of your closest friends or family members. We'll handle all the rest for you. We will personally deliver these items to the winning bidder on the day of his/her choice, including Christmas Day, December 25, 2007.

Slightly Suspicious Sneaky Snake Statue We've received word that there is a life-sized Solid Snake figure for sale on eBay but unfortunately, the description is slightly confusing as to what is actually available. Now we here at Kotaku certainly have no room to complain about spelling and grammar, but the person that wrote this might have wanted to get someone with a firmer grasp of English to help out with their translation.

To the best of my ability, I was able to determine that there is a life-sized Snake statue available that was originally created to promote MGS 3: Snake Eater (Pardon me while I giggle behind my hand at that title again). Where it gets fuzzy is the reference to the photo. It seems to say that the accompanying image is actually of a different statue than the one being offered. The item ships from Switzerland and will cost 430 USD to ship to the US and Canada or 635 USD to Mexico, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. No mention is made of shipping costs to Europe which seems a bit odd. The bid is currently at the low, low price of $51 with only two bids and six hours to go. If you decide you simply must have this Snake for your very own, good luck and Caveat emptor.

The Biggest eBay PlayStation Auction Ever When you're talking about a PlayStation eBay auction that is priced at $30,000 it had better be the biggest PlayStation auction ever. Celebrity Autographed DS Up For Grabs

Apparently inspired by yesterday's post about the autographed GBA, Kotakuite Travis decided to put his autographed DS up for auction. It may not be gold or a limited edition, but this DS has a little something the GBA doesn't have. Not only is this DS autographed by Miyamoto, but by Iwata and the voice of Mario himself, Charles Martinet as well! The bidding starts at $200 and the auction lasts for the next six days. And as an added bonus, Travis has generously offered 25% of the total sale to Child's Play. So, if you have some spare cash, you can own a lovely Nintendo collectible and help out sick kiddies at the same time. Now, doesn't that make you all warm and fuzzy inside?

Hardcore Gamer Gives Up Games For Icky Marriage YOU TRAITOR!Let me set something straight. We are not here to advertise your eBay auctions, especially when you're a videogame traitor and throw away an amazing ultra-hardcore game collection on something as silly and temporary as marriage.

But that's just what Kotaku reader Nick plans on doing.

This enviable collection of rare and quality games and consoles with dozens of controllers is up on the auction block. After looking over his sizeable gaming stash, which contains hardware goodies like two pairs of official Samba de Amigo maraca controllers, the Steel Battalion box, two Neo Geos, a 3DO, four Virtual On twin sticks (two Saturn, two Dreamcast), a TurboExpress and a R.O.B., I got jealous.

When I saw a game list that included Radiant Silvergun, Ogre Battle 64, Chrono Trigger, and Dragon Force, I got pissed. I just don't understand some people. You're going to give this all up for a woman? She won't love you like your copy of Masters of Teras Kasi will!

Sony PS3 - 60GB - Brand New - Sealed in Box - $575 (los altos)
Received as Gift several weeks ago. Planned to return to EB Games, but I'm past the 2 week return period. This is about $75 less than you will pay with tax at most stores.
Of course, now that PS3s are available at your local electronic store of choice, they should be cheaper online. It's just surprising to see the phenomenon with my own eyes.

Dreaming of a White PS3 Christmas Remember back when Sony first introduced the PS3 in multiple colors? There was black of course, and silver, but my personal favorite was the shiny white model. Instead of waiting until Sony releases it as a Japanese-only exclusive somewhere down the road (speculation, but you know they'll do it), PS3 Center has gone ahead and made their own.

Michael Birecki from PS3 Center did this in his father's body shop, after realizing that the PS3 he was planning to auction wouldn't sell worth a damn just by itself. He has pictures of the whole process posted on their site, as well as a link to the eBay auction, which is up past $1,000 as of this writing.

Instant Console Collection

Are you a gaming noob who's first console was a Wii? Do you want the street cred that having a fully realized gaming collection will give you? Well, look no further than this eBay auction where seller markcz5581 is selling what is sure to be the biggest console bundle of all time. In addition to an unopened PS3, this $25,000 uber-package includes an original Xbox, a Gamecube, a Dreamcast, a PS1, a Nintendo 64, a Super NES, a NES, a DS, DS Lite, GBA, GBA SP, Sega Game Gear Portable, NeoGeo pocket, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Printer and last but not least, the headache inducing Virtual Boy. Also included are a truck full of over 400 games and all the appropriate controllers and hookups.

If the exorbitant $25,000 isn't quite within your price range, you might want to try the $75,000 Buy It Now price which will also net you a Wii. The seller has graciously waved the shipping fee and promises delivery by Christmas.

So why would a guy sell a collection that he's obviously spent a lifetime putting together. Why, for LOVE, of course. He's hoping to use the money to purchase his girlfriend an engagement ring and reminds us that not only are we making an awesome purchase, but "you're also investing in a love that will flourish for years to come."

Well, markcz5581, if you get divorced, I want my money back. Make the jump for the full list of auction items.

Clear Channel Auctions PS3s & Wiis for Charity

Clear Channel and Best Buy have teamed up to present gamers with a nifty way to get their hands on a PS3 or Wii while helping out disadvantaged youth. Every day from December 12th to the 24th, Clear Channel will be auctioning off 2 of each system every hour from 8am to 8pm Eastern, with 100% of all proceeds going to Toys for Teens, which is Toys for Tots aimed at 12-15 year olds. 119 Clear Channel stations around the country will also be holding live auctions throughout the holidays.

Bidding does start at retail price, but at least you know you are making a difference in a kid's life and aren't feeding some eBay troll. You have to register at their site in order to participate, the link to which I've cleverly hidden at the bottom of their press release, which you will find after the jump.

Still Need a Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii? Best Buy and Clear Channel Radio Can Help!

Retailer will donate 814 units to online and on-air auctions at Clear Channel Radio stations for the next 12 days

100% of bid prices benefit Toys for Teens, a Marine Toys for Tots program

SAN ANTONIO - December 12, 2006 - Clear Channel Radio and Best Buy today announced the launch of an online auction featuring this holiday's hottest videogame systems - Playstation 3s and Nintendo Wiis.1 The total bid price for each console will benefit Toys for Teens, a program of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

Beginning today and running for the next twelve days, the four highest bidders during each hour of the online auction's operation will get to purchase a Playstation 3 or Nintendo Wii. More than 1,100 Clear Channel Radio local stations across the country will auction off two Playstation 3s and two Nintendo Wiis each hour for 12 hours a day, totaling 48 units per day. The online auction will run from 8:00 a.m. eastern time to 8:00 p.m. eastern time each day. In addition, 119 Clear Channel Radio stations will conduct live on-air auctions throughout the holiday season.

"Clear Channel Radio stations conduct unique and exciting programs to benefit local charitable causes all year long," said Sanda Coyle, Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing for Clear Channel Radio. "But this holiday season, our stations are using the one-two punch of their on-air and online reach to help raise money for a very worthy charity and give consumers a chance to bid on this year's hottest video game consoles."

"We're pleased to partner with Clear Channel Radio to Toys for Teens. Best Buy and the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation created the Toys for Teens program six years ago to make the holiday's brighter for older children too," said Paula Prahl, vice president of Public Affairs, Best Buy. "Together with our customers we've contributed $2 million to the cause so far, and this year we could substantially increase the contribution through this initiative."

"The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation launched the Toys for Teens program to help older children ages 12 through 15," said Bill Grein, VP of Marketing & Development, of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. "We'd like to thank Best Buy, our exclusive corporate sponsor of Toys for Teens, and Clear Channel Radio for organizing this auction."

Bidding starts at $599.99 for Playstation 3 and $249.99 for Nintendo Wii

Bidding for the Playstation 3 will start at $599.99; $249.99 for the Nintendo Wiis. Bidding will increase in minimum increments of $25 for the Playstation 3 and $10 for the Nintendo Wii. At the end of every hour of the online auction, the winning bidders will receive an email with a URL directing them to a check-out site. Auction winners will then have 48 hours to make their purchase; after that, the second highest bidder will be offered the game console.

Each winning bidder will receive a confirmation e-mail as proof of purchase, as well as tax donation information. Local distribution of game consoles will be handled by Best Buy.

Individuals interested in making cash donations to Toys for Teens may do so at BestBuy.com or at the register of their local Best Buy store.

For more information, log onto your local Clear Channel Radio station Web site and click on the online auction promo box or tune in to your favorite local Clear Channel Radio station for information on how to participate.

The Cheap Ass Charity Auction cheapyass.jpg

Just because they are cheap, doesn't mean they don't care. CheapyD and his band of penny pinchers at CheapAssGamer.com are having a charity raffle for a good cause. He writes:

With the help of Play-Asia.com, I am pleased to announce this year's Child's Play Charity fundraiser. A $5 donation will purchase an entry into a raffle for a chance at winning the grand prize, a $1,000 credit to Play-Asia's online store.

Raffle entries are sold through PayPal and there is no limit to the number of entries one may purchase. A single winner will be chosen at random and obviously, the more entries one purchases, the greater their odds of winning. 100% of the money raised will go directly to Child's Play. We are even covering the PayPal fees.

The raffle ends December 19th and no more entries will be accepted. A new winner will be announced shortly thereafter. Cheapy tells us that US $4,695 has been raised and hopes to bump that number up. No reason to be cheap for a good cause.

Buy A PS3, Prevent Foreclosure... Oops, Too Late (douchebag)I hesitate to call this the PS3 Douchebag Auction of the Day, as I'm not clear on the circumstances that might have put this family into such dire financial straits, but I came very close. Anytime that someone has the gall to list their PlayStation 3 at $5,000, with a $50,000 Buy It Now price on top of that, they really shouldn't get a pass, but I'm a softie. At least he didn't try to include Gundam Crossfire in the auction.

Still, any chump who maxes out his last credit card to but a PS3 and three games, only to flip it on eBay in an attempt to right himself financially has to be at least 60% douche.

From the carefully wordsmithed auction:

Okay we arn't in foreclosure yet, but we are getting closer and closer each month we have to make our mortgage payment latter and latter. So i called in to work and me and my wife swapped out waiting in line to pick up a ps3 and to max out our last credit card. I know that the asking price is high, but if it is met it would alow us to stay in our home. to not default on the mortgage and to raise our girl in our own home. also if a buisness or buisness person buys this gift at my asking price it will probably be the highest bought ps3 on ebay. if this happens i wil tell all publicity who bought it and their website and or phone number. All and all if you have the money to spend what better to spend it than on the most powerful game consol to date, and to help give someone a hand out of debt.

What better way to spend it? Are you shitting me? Well, it doesn't appear anyone else took the bait either, despite the token picture of his drooling baby. The auction ended with zero bids.

PS3 60G 3 games (unique extras) keep us off the street! [thanks, Justin!]

Buy a Full-Sized Custom GH Guitar Joel Johnson just listed on eBay one of the hand-crafted Guitar Hero controllers he was showing off at last week's Funde Razor.

The proceeds for the guitar, made by Joel Miller ID, will be given directly to Child's Play.

The guitar being auctioned is the red-and-black model with flames. (The other two guitars were raffled off at the event.) It has been tested to work with both Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II and includes a wireless dongle. It uses batteries which can be replaced by removing a screw-off panel on the back. The headstock features a custom F nde Razor II logo, making this a unique change to own a part of F nde Razor II history. (Okay, that doesn't mean much, but still...)

Winners will receive the guitar, dongle, a strap, a soft case, and a guitar stand. They will also receive the warm feeling of knowing that they're getting a totally radical guitar and helping to buy toys and games for the children treated at the Montefiore Children's Hospital in the Bronx.

I entered the first $50 bid only to find that the auction hadn't yet met the minimum. Damn you Joel, damn you to hell!

The Worst PS3 eBay Auction EVER BEWBSIt's actually one of the funniest, but any time I'm forced to view manboobs at my job, I'm a pretty unhappy employee. You can "Buy It Now" for a cheap $2,500, or take your chance with a bidding war. A couple of things to note:
Please bid. If I have to list this again I'm moving the PS3 box in the photo. In case you're wondering, none of my parts touched any of its parts.

Good, good. Still "mint" I suppose. Frankly, if I had a couple extra thousand to throw around, I might just take this guy up on his offer. But I'd have it delivered to Crecente's house, unannounced.

I will ship overnight insured to anywhere in the US, or for an additional fee, I will deliver the PS3 in a full Santa suit with appropriately dyed beard and hair to anywhere in the continental US between December 19th and 23rd. I suppose if the fee is high enough, I would be willing to deliver the PS3 as pictured.

As you can see, I've edited out the offending portions of the auction phot. If you're a gambling man, go ahead, take a look at the full auction. Keeping in mind, this one can't be unseen.

Me? I feel sick. I'm gonna go lie down.

Douchebag PS3 Auction Of The Day DOUCHEThis isn't one of those bait and switch PS3 auctions, but even at the low "Buy It Now" price of 99 cents, this is just too much.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE PURCHASE OF MY STORY OF ACQUIRING A PLAYSTATION 3. WHEN PURCHASED THE STORY WILL BE SENT SAME DAY BY E-MAIL. THIS TWO PAGE STORY WILL DETAIL WHAT OUR PLAN WAS IN ORDER TO GET A PS3, HOW WE GOT THEM, AND A NUMBER OF HORRIBLE THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO US ALONG THE WAY. THIS STORY WILL RELIEVE ANYONE WHO HAD IT BAD IN ACQUIRING A PS3. ANYONE WHO THOUGHT THEY HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE ON NOVEMBER 17TH WILL BE ABLE TO APPRECIATE THIS STORY, AND WILL HELP THOSE UNDERSTAND THAT THINGS COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE THEN THEY WERE.

So much suffering!

There are only 41 of these yarns to go around, but don't let that limited number of harrowing PlayStation 3 purchasing tales tempt you to spend. Do not support PS3 horror story auctions! I'm begging you!

PS3 Shoe Auction Tops $4K

Remember those Playstation 3 shoes I was lusting over last week? The ones made by Nike? Well the unattainable shoes are, it turns out, attainable after all. Someone is auctioning one of the two dozen kicks with 100 percent going to some unnamed charity.

Currently, the price is hovering at just over $4,000. Oh, and those shoes are size 10, so even if I was rich, they wouldn't fit my tiny feet. Dammit!

Making Sweet, Sweet Love to a PS3 Some eBay decided he needed to spice up his Ps3 auction with some faux NSFW photos. So he dropped trough, bends the PS3 over and has his way with it.

In the auction listing he claims it's all fake and that the console remains unopened free of "sticky residue." Yeah, that's a picture I really didn't need hip-thrusted into my head.

The Mortal Kombat Toilet Seat FINISH HIMBear down folks, 'cause it's toilet seat time again. Uber tipster Jane, who should really be doing something other than trolling eBay for such things, lets us know that the man responsible for the Master Chief crapper cover is back at it. This time, it's the famous Mortal Kombat dragon logo, woodburned and hand painted. Other fun features: comes with brass hinges and screws, looks AWESOME, and makes a great gift. Or so he says.

Best part about this item?

Super Arcade Auction

Super Auctions specializes in traveling from state to state holding astonishingly large auctions of arcade machines, pinball machines, jukeboxes, gambling machines and a jumble of other electronics related machines. You can even pick up one of those fancy grocery store heart monitor deals if you're of a mind.

I've been to a couple of these here in Atlanta and they are great to go to if for nothing more than just to see with your own eyes a collection of old arcade cabinets you wouldn't see anywhere else. But, unless you have lots of money at your disposal and the stamina to stand around for 4 or 5 hours in a crowd of people most of whom have never heard of a toothbrush, you are likely to go home empty handed and seething with jealousy. The average arcade machine in decent condition goes for around $500 - $1000 depending on the machine. So, if you are willing to give up that PS3 pre-order, you could probably walk home with a slightly peeling Pac-man machine for your very own home arcade.

$1500 Worth Of Donkey Kong Jr. Can Be Yours

Thank the heavens above for GameSetWatch and chief poster of all things interesting, Simon Carless. If we could somehow transform him into a single, beautiful woman with a massive trust fund and a penchant for giving foot massages, we'd be all over that. In this week's edition of scraping through the muck of eBay for interesting video game auctions, he came across this "Holy Grail" of Game & Watch units—10 unopened, mostly untouched, perfectly mint Donkey Kong Jr. units.

I am offering for sale the Holy Grail if you will of my collection. 10 DONKEY KONG Jr. with serial - numbers matching and still in manufacture box. I bought this box complete in 1983 and have stored it in a sealed foot locker ever since. No moisture, excessive heat or even worse human hands have touched these games in 23 years. I actually almost forgot about this sealed box. I am obsessive about matching serial numbers and made sure any multiples of games were bought in order from Nintendo and not one by one at some Gaming Shop.

Yes, I would say that obsessive was the right adjective in this case. It looks like the seller didn't find any other Donkey Kong Jr/serial number enthusiasts. Maybe this will be relisted for your insane buying pleasure.

Acclaim is Dead, Long Live Acclaim acclaimlogo.pngThe last of Acclaim's assets are going up for auction in the wake of the publisher's bankruptcy, including the rights to such classic titles as Fur Fighters and Iggy's Reckin' Balls. Oddly enough, Acclaim itself has already been resurrected, after a fashion, by the purchase of the name by investors who have already started producing titles under the banner. Corporate law is weird.

MMOs Get a Craigslist of Sorts

Captain sends word of a new website he's created that is striving to become the Craigslist of the MMO world. Dawnmarket is essentially a site to place free classifieds for massively multiplayer online game items.

You just register, select the game and server, list the item and asking price and then when you get a buyer hook-up online to do the trade. So far the place is a virtual morgue, but I'm hoping people start listing the same sad, self-indulgent Missed Connections that made CL such a huge hit.

BIOMEK WITH MOHAWK IN SCRAP VALLEY I was in the pick-up with the turret-mounted mini-gun and nail studded hood. I noticed your Dune Buggy as I zipped down the shattered highway past a clutch of Pikes. You were roasting a zipgunner with your flamethrower. Your wheels were sexy.

If you remember me lets meet at Old Fort Logan.

Sexy!

DS Lite Right-To-Purchase Auction

Kotaku reader Tai hit the Joshin in Wakayama (1 hour south of Osaka), trying to score an elusive DS Lite. There weren't any on sale, but they did have a curious notice posted. Because the Lite is so dang popular, the store is holding a competition for the right to buy one. Entries are being accepted from March 30th to April 9th. Winners will be announced on April 15th and will have the right to purchase a DS Lite within four days from April 16th.

So... something tells me there will be a big Lite shipment on the sixteenth. Call it a hunch.

DS Development Cartridge Auction

eBay, home of everything you could ever want and not, has a DS development cartridge up on the auction block. Slightly different from the final version, it is a prototype of the game Zoo Tycoon. While development cartridges for other systems have surfaced, this is the first DS one we've seen. The auction ends today, the current bid is over a hundred bucks. Hopefully, this post won't drive up the price. Heh.

DS Lite on UK eBay dsliteebay.JPG

A DS Lite has already hit eBay, which I suppose isn't too surprising, but what is surprising is that the seller is in Europe.

As of Wednesday morning the bidding was up to 120 Euros with about nine hours to go. I can't imagine what this bid will top out at, but it's gonna be high. Oh, and if you life in the U.S. and were considering bidding, the shipping alone to the U.S. is $64. Ouch.

Animal Crossing's Auction Site nookbay.jpg

Calling it Nookbay, a virtual community has popped up where Animal Crossing DS players are peddling their wares via an online auction house. So far, the items are being paid for in "bells"—AC's currency—and I don't think a bell purchasing website has launched yet. Thanks for alerting us to the wonder of Nookbay.

Animal Crossing Going the Way of the MMO? logoACWW.jpg

An eBay auction that the British Gaming Blog linked to is offering all 20 paintings for your museum in Animal Crossing for the DS. Like the commerce structures that have emerged in MMOs like EVE, WoW, EverQuest - now the digital properties of Nintendo's Animal Crossing are making the crossover into sellable goods.

I'm sure Nintendo is thrilled.
