Finally Nintendo, doing something fans have been screaming about for years.

didnt make.. how ironic), but theyve made me the happiest they have as a publisher since the glory days of the n64.
after being somewhat disappointed by mario sunshine (although it was still an excellent game), i was skeptical that they could give me the same feeling of awe that was achieved when experiencing mario 64 for the first time. then comes galaxy.. my goty of 07.
so this year they bring out this and also tell me i get a sequel to my favorite mario game? at first i thought this would be just a rehash of the ds game.. but they added so much.. im impressed.
i should also add that i was a sonic kid growing up, and didnt care for mario in 2d all that much.. im not nintendo or mario fanboy... but i AM a platform fanboy.. and mario has always been an excellent staple in the genre. #newsupermariobroswii

I understand that nintendo was going through a bit of a slump, but the 64 turned mea die hard sega fan into a nintendo fan as well. I think companies do their best in desperation, which is why im a big fan of aony this gen (id say the ps3 has utterly destroyed any bit of fanboy in me, and is my fave sony console over the lasy playstations by far).
Sorry for rambling, but basically, i think nintendo did their best as a publisher with the 64. They are impressing me on the wii as well, its just unfortunate hardly anybody else is. #newsupermariobroswii

My first video game was Super Mario World. It took a combined effort of my father, my mother, myself and my infant brother on the sidelines to beat Morton Koopa. Now, I can beat the game in 25 minutes. These memories are priceless, and I can't wait to make new ones with my current and future family. #newsupermariobroswii

Super Mario Bros. 3 (their first appearance) will always be the best in my opinion.

Two RANDOM, generic Toads (who will no doubt feature the exact same screechy, high pitched voice that every Toad does) is just about the laziest thing they could've done. #newsupermariobroswii

Either way, they're still stupid and Nintendo totally should've put Wario and someone else in. I'd say Yoshi, but considering he's a power-up in this one, that kinda makes no sense.
Though the thought of a Yoshi riding a Yoshi does make me laugh...

They're not even unique characters. One Toad would have been okay. Two of them - one just a palette swap of the other - shows an utter lack of creativity. #newsupermariobroswii

They're goddamned Toads, not abominations. It won't kill you to play with them and if you really have a problem with being them, you have to be one of the most pissy people on the face of the planet.

I also remember reading the Super Mario Bros. 3 instruction booklet that my friend brought to school like it was a sacred text. Who needs exercise at recess? And to think...it would be years before I got why a tanuki suit let you turn into a statue... #newsupermariobroswii
