Maybe Gamer America, or Game America, because if it was Gay America, it would be GAYmerica.

Seriously, I love the Atari 2600. I was so close to picking one up at a flea market, but was short on cash. :(

My beard has yet to reach that point... but as you can clearly see, I'm explaining quantum chromodynamics, using the knit hat as a crude lattice model.

And I hope you're going to post a lot of comments again and again, internet really needs people like you!! The WORLD needs people like you!!!

Ya know, I was gonna say something about how that is a douchey comment, and if you don't have something productive to say then to shut the hell up. I also would've thrown some random insults at you, like how you're an assclown, or something of the sort, but you know what - I just don't even see the need. As long as the Wii doesn't make games that make people like Dingler happy, than it obviously must suck.
On a side note, now I can finally finish that quilt I started but could never finish. The Wii: a million uses and growing!!

You make me smile. For that, I must follow you. Good day, sir.

Broad generalizations, sir. That is all you have to base your argument on. 35 million people may disagree with you. Even if some of those people don't play their Wii, or are dissatisfied with their purchase, that still leaves a 10 million + gap between them and the 360. I guarantee you the people who are unhappy with their Wii doesn't add up to 10 million. You're assuming that everyone on the internet speaks for the consumer as a whole, which is retarded because most Wii consumers don't check Kotaku, or even use the internet for much beyond e-mail and Facebook. I just wish people would stop viewing the system as a video game console and see it as something more. Not that I am a huge Wii proponent or anything (I prefer my 360) but 'games' like Wii Fit show that it isn't really a video game device, but an interactive, multi-purpose device. The fact that it can also play Mario just happens to be a bonus. :-)

Do you use this logic on the PS3?
01/06/09
Sure. If the system can branch out and welcome nongames into it's repitoire than absolutely it can fit into the same type of category. I mean, every system does it a little bit, but most focus on enhancing media capabilities. Like the PS3 with Blu-Ray and the 360 with Netflix. Those are both great additions, and I use them both, but they don't really do much to entice non-technophyles into the fold. The Wii branched out in a different, not-so-much-gaming direction and attracted new users.
And you don't have to like Mario. But in my own (flaming) opinion anyone who didn't like Mario Galaxy either A) has no soul or B) lives a dead, corpse-like existence. :)
