    How did the company behind Mass Effect make a game with such poor facial animation. Why such a huge leap backwards?

    Whatever, since The Elder Scrolls V is no where to be found I'll pick this up.

    This is the first trailer, of all the DA trailers, that I actually liked....until the ending song...

    I think everyone harping on the visuals should just move on if it doesn't pass their standards.

    Maybe it isn't as fantastic as Mass Effect/Mass Effect 2...but I'm sure the game will warrant a play-through(if you are a bioware/wrpg fan).

    At first lance the game does look compelling but if you axe me, animation could use some polish..

    Not super-sold on the visuals. It somehow looks like they weren't as...finished as BioWare's other games. I wonder if it's a side-effect of the game being multiplatform, or if it's because BioWare's B team is on this one.

    Definitely a step below Mass Effect though.

    @Archaotic: As long as it's not as crippled by bugs (and crappyness) as NWN2, I'm looking forward to picking this up a few days after release.

    Everytime I hear the music at the end, though, I get a sudden urge to play the original Unreal Tournament.

    @Archaotic: It could possibly be the 360 version? It seems console versions are the ones shown most often, and Kotaku did mention the PC version's graphics were quite a step up from 360's.

    I haven't really been impressed with this game overall though. That might just be because games like this, Oblivion, Morrowind, etc all look so unbelievably generic and boring to me.

    @Sythlia: I agree wholeheartedly with that, my favorite game in the whole wide world is Deus Ex and just look at those graphics ;)

    But I was just watching some HD Mass Effect 2 footage and.. jesus.. it really spoils this trailer. Mass Effect 2 is just too damn good looking,

    @Paradox me: I'll agree there, it really doesn't have much of a "hook" to it, visually, story-wise or gameplay-wise. It's just selling itself on the merit of being a BioWare RPG. Who knows, maybe it'll surprise us, but I don't believe in giving a game unconditional love until it's been released and had the comb of criticism run through it a few times.

    @TaylorEatWorld: I can see your point. Mass Effect simply benefits from using the Unreal 3 engine while Dragon Age is using the Eclipse engine, successor to the Odyssey engine that KOTOR was produced with. It's almost like night and day when comparing those two side-by-side.

    Like Deus Ex, I'm sure a mod community will get behind Dragon Age, encouraged with the PC toolset. If the graphics aren't stellar on the PC, there might be those who will create hi-res replacements. Just like Deus Ex and System Shock 2. :)

    @Archaotic: Everyone compares this to Mass Effect. I have no idea why. One is a shooter that can use most of its resources on graphics and hit detection, the other is a complicated RPG (in the video game sense of the word) with a ton of number crunching going on in the background, along with a more-than-likely much longer story being told with more side quests than Mass Effect.

    Really looking forward to seeing SupCom 2. Hopefully, we'll get a demo available to download afterwards. I just hope (and I know console fans are going to cringe) that this isn't dumbed down too much to suit the 360.

    Good to know that Kotaku has this covered though. Europe FTW! :D
