Andrew Le already has his done, having painstakingly crafted this suit of armor in just six days.

What the Armor is made out of is Poster board, what was used was Hot glue gun, masking tape and alot of paint. I started making it 6 days ago, and wanted to be best i can make it.
So what drives a man to spend six days of his time to create this damn fine piece of work out of stuff just lying around the house? The answer, along with more pictures, after the jump.
i just wanted to make it for the movie release and for children to have a hero they can actually see in person :D. I done it because i been a fan of Iron man. I noticed that there nor plans or blue prints to make the armor of Iron man so i made one.
That's one mighty damn noble guy right there. To give the children a hero, because he is a big fan, and because it hadn't been done. Ladies and gentlemen, I have officially been out-Iron Man fanboyed. Check out the gallery for more pics, or visit Andrew's MySpace for a whole slew more. Damn fine work for poster board. I'd love to see what he'd do with more time and better materials. Hulkbuster Armor, anyone? ]]>

<![CDATA[ High Probability Of Fallout 3 DLC ]]> dogmeatarmor.jpg videogaming247 spoke to Bethesda's marketing head Pete Hines in London this morning during a demo of the painfully anticipated Fallout 3, asking him about the possibility of downloadable content for the title, apparently forgetting that this is the company that brought us Horse Armor.
"Given how successful it was for us on Oblivion, certainly it's a given that we'll look into it and what we'd like to do," he said, talking of extra content for the anticipated post-apocalyptic RPG. "But I can't tell you when, I can't tell you what it would be, or what it would look like. Will it be bigger stuff like Knights of the Nine or smaller stuff? We've no idea. We'll let folks know once we get down the road."
Here's a tip, Pete! Free downloadable Dogmeat armor. We'll never bring up the whole horse thing again, we promise.

<![CDATA[ Real Life World Of Warcraft Armor ]]> The World Of Warcraft Europe website has recently posted an interview with a member of the German workshop group BattleHeat, who took it upon themselves to create a positively amazing set of tier 2 Paladin Judgment armor from the game. The group spent hundreds of hours getting everything just right, going as far as creating a special support structure under the shoulders to give them that trademark WoW hugeness. BattleHeat won't be selling this armor anytime soon, but the interview does give handy tips for blacksmithing, so you should be able to make your own given the right materials and a good decade to hone your skills. Might want to get started on that.

<![CDATA[ Shift (The Game, Not The Key) ]]> I'm not sure if McWhertor will have qualms with me stealing his "hot flashes" designation, but Shift is a fairly warmer than room temperature flash platformer by Armor Games with a simple mechanic: navigate your way through a level avoiding spikes by jumping and "shifting" at appropriate times. With each level in half black and half white, you choose which path to designate as solid, flipping the level upside down at will...as if you become a shadow. Give it a try if you like flash games, free stuff or hitting the "shift" key.

<![CDATA[ Microsoft: We're Investigating the Recon Armor Hack ]]> reconarmor.jpg

Skyluss, a member of pro-gaming Team vBi, reported over the weekend that his Xbox Live account has been hacked... again. Apparently the hacker was a little envious of the Recon Armor Bungie had bestowed upon Skyluss and decided to take it for a spin him or herself.

The Halo 3 gamer writes in the vBi forums that he thinks this latest hack wasn't a product of social hacking (i.e. sweet-talking a password out of a stupid customer support person) but a genuine security flaw in Microsoft's Live service.

Skyluss says he's changed the passwords on his account three times in the past month so he's sure it's not an issue of someone having his password. Whether it is a security flaw in the system or an issue with customer support the bottom line is that there is a problem, one that I hope Microsoft is on top of.

I emailed XBL Director Larry Hryb to see if Skyluss high-profile account problems are being investigated, as the gamer was told after receiving a whole lot of run around and not a lot of answers. Hyrb told me that their security team has indeed launched an investigation and that he has been in touch with the gamer personally.

<![CDATA[ Halo Halloween Hijinks Coming ]]>

Frankie doesn't spill much over at Bungie, but he does mention that the multiplayer design team is cooking up a special Halloween treat for Halo 3 players.

Our multiplayer design teams are hard at work on a couple of things. One of them is a fun, seasonal addition to the matchmaking playlist which should keep you entertained for about 27 hours around Halloween. No specifics yet, but suffice it to say that if you want to spend your witchy holiday playing Halo 3, we'll give you some spooktacular reasons to do so.

Frankie then commences to tease us again with little detail about the first downloadable map pack that will be coming to the game, talking about how he first hated a map he nicknamed Purple Reign because of its symmetry and now he loves it. Bah!

On a bright note he did hand out two sets of Recon Armor to gamers who suffered particularly embarrassing deaths in the game. The Rubber Bullet guy and the guy who managed to shoot himself in the head with his own Sniper Rifle both got a set.

<![CDATA[ Making Your Own Halo Costume ]]> halo_2_kubrick.jpgThanks a lot, guys. Now Billie Edington over at MTV's Multiplayer thinks we all have some sort of odd body paint fetish. Remember last week when I posted about her quest to build a Halo 3 costume? Remember when nearly half of you suggested she go the body paint route? Well, Billie does.

Fortunately, she ignored you and instead came up with a plan. The first step involved hollowing out a Special Edition Halo Helmet. Something, incidentally, one of our readers emailed was possible earlier this week. Now she just has to figure out how to see out of it.

Then she pieced together the rest of the armor, which she's broken down into nine distinct parts, by ordering from paintball and athletic gear companies. Next step, paint it all up and put it together.

<![CDATA[ Kratos' Armor Makes Guest Appearance in Heavenly Sword ]]>
Comparisons between Heavenly Sword and God of War are inevitable considering the similar control scheme, but apparently the creators of HS haven't shied away from giving props (literally) to their obvious inspiration. PlayStation Underground forum poster KiNGoFClubs discovered this little homage to Kratos buried with in the game. During one of Kai's missions, Kratos' GOW2 armor and Blades of Chaos can be spotted hanging on a gate in a castle courtyard. You got to hand it to the designers, if you're going to take inspiration from another game, at least be cool enough to own up to it. You can check out more screen caps here on the PlayStation forums.

<![CDATA[ ArchLord Goes Completely Free ]]> When Codemasters released ArchLord in the states back in February of this year, it didn't exactly fly off the shelves. I'd daresay there are release copies still sitting on a store shelf somewhere right now, sad and lonely, never to be sold. Especially now that Codemasters has announced the game is now 100% free to play. Download the game for free, play it for free, get the new expansion for free, and possibly even hate it for free. CM Director of Marketing Ed Relf markets:

"We are ecstatic to be in a position now to release ArchLord as an entirely FREE MMORPG and this marks a milestone in the games ongoing development. Since its release, ArchLord has grown consistently and we are excited to throw open the doors to players across N.America and Europe looking to play a premium 100% FREE MMORPG. "
Nice marketing Ed. ArchLord has just recently launched the ArchLord Suit of Armour Battle, where the first player to be crowned ArchLord wins a life-sized suit of plate armor, which they probably just had laying around and had to get rid of anyway. Still, free MMO!

<![CDATA[ EGM Prints Halo 3 Covers, And We Like Them ]]> We've already heard about the customizable armor, but customizable weapons? (Update: OK, no customizable weapons, but still cool.) EGM is running a series of three covers for their exclusive 19-page Halo 3 printgasm this month. Check out the other two covers after the jump, and let us know if you spot anything unusual. I'm not a big Halo fan, but this coverart is freaking hot.

<![CDATA[ Give That Halo 3 Armor a Custom Makeover ]]> customarmor1.jpg

The newest issue of GamePro magazine has a little feature on Halo 3 revealing screenshots of some heretofore unseen items like new weapons, maps and vehicles. But the real news comes in the form of the revelation that there will be customizable armor. You can finally give your soldiers the makeover they so richly deserve. I haven't received my issue to check it all out yet, but the folks over at The Hushed Casket are pretty excited about it. And if they are excited, I'm excited. You should be too! Aren't you?

<![CDATA[ Papercraft: Cloud's Shoulder Armor Lion ]]>

Today's papercraft is a bit esoteric, but still kind of cool nonetheless and it's simple to put together! Today's offering is the lion head found on Cloud's shoulder armor in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children by papercraft guru Chamoo232. all the pieces reside on on sheet of paper and should be easy enough for even beginner papercrafters to take on. If it doesn't work for you on a Final Fantasy level, you can always use it as a decorative doorknocker on your paper mansion.

Random papercraft tip: Always use a ruler and an Xacto knife to score your paper before folding it. Just don't cut too deep!

<![CDATA[ Nerf DS Lite Case ]]>

GameStop has these multi-colored Nerf DS Lite armors for pre-order in pink, blue, black and green for only $12.99. However, just because you order it early with cold, hard cash doesn't give you the right to choose whatever color you want. All cases will be shipped out randomly, because (as we all know) most video game customers don't have any sense of individual taste. We enjoy taking what we can get (why, that in itself is a game - how festive!).

Also, notice how thee is no mention of the availability of the color orange, although one obviously exists. Could GameStop be picking out all the orange cases like I selfishly used to pick out the marshmallow bits out of Lucky Charms?

<![CDATA[ PS3 Oblivion - No DLC At Launch ]]> horsearmor.jpgFirst Bethesda disses Sony's PS3 controller, and now their online capabilities come into question as news surfaces indicating that there will be no downloadable content for the game available when the game launches next month. When will the content become available?
Spokesperson Pete Hines told trade weekly MCV, "We plan to support downloadable content on PS3, but we couldn't tell you how or when it will be out, because it's not clear how we're going to do that yet."

That sounds like a pretty definite 'we have no earthly clue' to me.

So while Oblivion will run much more smoothly and look better overall on the PS3, there'll be no horse armor. I ask you then, what is the point?

<![CDATA[ Armor Games Provides Flash Game Diversions ]]> Thanks to some friends, I recently discovered Armor Games, a repository for a variety of Flash games. I have spent an inordinate amount of time navigating around the site and checking out different games to waste all the time I should be spending playing consoles or writing articles. I'm sure many of you might already be familiar with this site, so if you are, you might want to read a different story, but for those of you who haven't it's well worth checking out.

Currently, my two favorite games at the moment are The Fancy Pants Adventure which was created last year, and Tilt 2 which just came about in the last month or two. The Fancy Pants Adventure is a Mario-esque platformer with line drawn graphics and nice music. Tilt 2 is more of a skill game where you try to balance a little platform on a finger while trying to catch little balls in it without it tipping over. The more balls you can catch and the longer you can keep that platform balanced, the more points you get.

Sure, a lot of these aren't the greatest games ever made, but I always like check out new web based games. You never know when you might unearth the next Alien Hominid or fl0w.

<![CDATA[ Halo-Inspired Armor for Sale ]]> haloarmorhat.JPGYou may remember Troy "Bear Bane" Hurtubise's Halo-inspired body armor suit from back in January, the prototype exoskeleton that can withstand anything from point-blank bullets to bats to the face. Well now the armor can be yours via eBay as Troy tries to drum up some cash to...I don't know...help develop bear-seeking missiles or something. The winning bidder gets the exo-suit, the shield, and exclusive rights the "Shadow Armor" undersuit, which is the actual bulletproof bit.

The bidding has hit $30,000 now with 5 days left to go, but has yet to hit the reserve price. I'm guessing Troy wants a pretty big chunk of his $150,000 back on this deal. Luckily no price is too large for a ready-made set of superhero / villain armor to aid you in pursuit of justice / evil.
