I was told the same thing.
And they better well honor my pre-order after I paid for two in full! :D

Anyhow, do yourself a favor and upgrade the springs with Seimitsu LS-32 Spring(s). They are so much better than the Sandwa springs. Here's a video on replacing the springs (don't do the double-spring mod, it sucks unless you play standing up and have leverage).

The JLF spring is also pretty weak. And wears out quickly if you're a CHARGE player. So another $2-5 for a stiffer (superior) Seimitsu spring.
Oh, and nothing in this stick is made by Mad Catz--they're just the middleman. Not even the case! GG.

I hope people online abuse it, so I can smack them really, really hard with whatever projectile I have.

Here's an interesting thread on the topic:

This is basically like Kia putting out a nice sports car and then trying to charge $100,000 for it, just because they noticed that a Ferrari costs that much.

Guess I could always wait for the comparisons, but if there's only going to be 3000 of these made... well... =.=

Still, it seems like my best bet would still be to pick up a HRAP3 and swap out the buttons for Sanwa parts at ~$2.50 a pop, which'll still be cheaper and easier to acquire than the Mad Catz stick in Canada. Afaik, no retailers in Canada are planning to carry this. >.<

I have for current gen:
2 Hori Wii Fighting Sticks
DOA 360 Hori Stick
and I use my modded Tekken 10th ani stick with a Pelican for the Triple.

Besides, it's like nobody's ever heard of MAS Systems. They've been making quality arcade sticks since the Neo Geo days. I have their Neo stick and their PS2 one (actually my wife's PS2 one....she custom ordered it black, with purple buttons).

Also, the d-pad controllers are awesome sauce too! I don't even like playing fighters with D-Pads, but it was more than serviceable. The PS3 ones I played with were wireless too!

$100, sure. But $150? I think that's a bit nuts. It's really nice, don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's $150 nice.
I'll wait until they hit the bargain bins (Hey, I got my Hori 360 stick for $40!).
