This marks my first time posting the PlayStation Store Update, so forgive me if I go astray. This week seems particularly packed with goodies, with three new PSone Classics, demos for Savage Moon and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a set of three free songs for Guitar Hero World Tour, Norse outfits for LittleBigPlanet, and what certainly seems like a lot of Disgaea DLC.

Along with two new characters in the form of Gig and Revya from Soul Nomad, Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice also scores a new storyline for Raspberyl, available as four separate chapters for $2.99 each, or in one big pack for $11.99. I'll let you guys figure out the math on that one while you browse this week's list.

<![CDATA[The Giant Prinny And The Prinnymobile]]> Last night in San Francisco NIS America held a special party for their upcoming PSP game Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?, featuring a giant drunken Prinny and the incredibly sexy Prinnymobile.

G4 has several photos of the giant Prinny in the wild, ordering drinks, bothering marketing executives, and just generally doing the sort of things Prinnies are apt to do when lacking the proper, scantily clad demoness authority figure. Eventually they got the rogue creature under control using the time-tested method of tearing apart its body and stuffing it in a giant garbage bag.

Speaking as Kotaku's biggest Disgaea fan, the only thing I crave more than my own giant Prinny costume is the Prinny-branded Toyota Scion parked outside the event.

Hit up the link below for 16 more photos of the misbehaving undead bird creature.

<![CDATA[Europe Wii Fit Box Dupes Dull Japanese Wii Fit Box]]> So that American Wii Fit box art is a snazzy neon green and multicultural vibrant feel good. Different from the Japanese box art, which is Snoozesville, population sleepy people. What about Europe? Same as the Japanese box art. Hit the jump for a look at the other side of the box. It's quite boring.

<![CDATA[American Men Need To...Ooo, Gran Turismo!]]> Dave Gibson at the American Chronicle has posted an article today titled "It Is Time For American Men To Grow Up", which calls out lazy, irresponsible, video game-playing American men for causing the downfall of our society.

Divorce and illegitimate births have reached epidemic proportions. A society whose grown men seem to be more interested in the latest video game, rather than the survival of their nation or even of their own family—is doomed to failure.
I'm sure whatever else he had to say was exciting and all, but I was completely distracted by the totally sweet ad for Gran Turismo halfway down the article and clicked off to look at cars. By the time I came back there was an add for a store selling Airsoft guns, and I need one of those to discipline my cats. By the time I finally got back to the story I caught this:
The lazy and disconnected American man is much more of a threat to the survival of this nation, than are the Muslim terrorists seeking their 72 virgins in heaven.
Instead of being outraged, I went looking for that clip of the suicide bombers in the plane from Uwe Boll's Postal film to try and figure out how many virgins they were supposed to get. Anyway, lazy, disconnected men in America? Not a chance.

<![CDATA[America Will Never Get Pokemon Gerbil Cages]]> In Japan, Pokémon is on everything. I mean EVERYTHING. Not true in the USA! Good luck finding things like Pokémon curry or Pokémon wonton soup in the States. Why is that? Why?! Over-exposre has led Pokémon USA to be way more selective. Says the company's Holly Rawlinson:

We get requests for all kinds of products, but now we turn a lot down.

Turned down products include diapers and gerbil cages. Yes, Pokémon USA turned down Pokémon gerbil cages. What the hell are those people thinking? Poké gerbil cages are a GOLD MINE.

<![CDATA[American Store Importing Japanese Wii-motes]]>

That bad over there, huh? Guess Japan apparently has the controller coming out the whazoo, and the US does not. Reader Kevin pinged me about this, writing:

Hey Ashcraft, I found a JDM wiimote in the Fry's Electronics in San Jose yesterday and snapped some pics of it. Any idea if they're compatible with the US wii?

Are there any reports of other JDM wii accessories hitting the US shores?

This is the first I've heard of this. What about you, Kotaku-land?

<![CDATA[Opera Waits For Orders From Nintendo]]>

What's the final version the Opera browser for the Wii like? Don't ask Opera reps, they don't know reports Wired's Chris Kohler. Of course, they'd love to add things like widget support and tabbed browsing, but it's not exactly Opera's decision to make. It's Nintendo's. And why isn't the Opera browser for the DS out in America? Once again, that's up to Nintendo. So, the point of involving Opera was what again?

<![CDATA[Australia Getting DS Lite Before America]]>

For once (and only once we are sure), Australia is getting something before the US that does not involve Paul Hogan. Nintendo Australia announced that the DS Lite will retail on June 1st, ten full days earlier than the portable drops in the US. But before busting out that VB, making Kiwi sheep jokes and singing Waltzing Matilda, note that early comes at a price. Ozzies will pay AU $199.95 (US $152), compared to the US $130 Yanks will shell out. And like the US, Australia will get the white version. But, why before the States, you ask? Well, Australia is closer to Japan and all...
