    Eep. For the game's motion capture, did they forego the historic "tall guy in a suit" for the alien? Because instead it looks like they went for "tall wrestler in a suit carrying another wrestler in another suit on his back". I thought the aliens were different based on the race they impregnated - did this thing come from the chest of Ben Grimm?

    After all the Alien vs. Predator movies and games, I just lost all respect for the Aliens series.

    LAME. An RPG set in the Aliens universe would have been awesome. I was really looking forward to what they were going to do with the title. Would it be something like Full Spectrum Warrior with facehuggers? Or would you have taken control of a single colonial marine (a new recruit, natch), traveling from overrun colony to overrun colony rescuing "some juicy colonists' daughters...from their virginity"?


    We'll never know.

    I don't care what anyone says, the concept sounds intriguing to me. And by concept, I mean title.


    Perhaps we'll get a Duke Nukem Forever and see some leaked assets.


    Really wanted to see some gameplay screens of this one, HUD and all.

    I'm getting the feeling that the Duke Nukem Forever footage leak scenario applies, and we will get some screenshots and gameplay footage.


    Well, I guess this project's canned. I was looking forward to this. Oh well.

    Something tells me this one won't be missed. The world really doesn't need another choice-filled Western RPG with tough-as-nails military characters and a haphazard shooting mechanic shoehorned into the package.


    Besides, it's not like Obsidian's got nothing else to work on at the moment.

    @Archaotic: You're right, what the world really needs is another Eastern RPG where the main character suffers from gender confusion, and main adversary is a nigh undefeatable, trite, cliche, over dressed male model bent on destroying the very world he lives on (making him a suicidal emo too I suppose)...

    @AOClaus: Don't get me wrong. Both kinds of RPGs need serious reform introduced in order to keep them relevant.


    But seriously, there has never been a WRPG with good combat, ever. Especially if you're not a D&D fan.

    @NecronomiconUK: KotOR's combat was just a thinly-veiled d20 system. I didn't care for it, though it wasn't as horrifically BORING as Mass Effect's. Still, I vastly prefer JRPG combat, since at least it's flashy and over-the-top. I would kill for a KotOR-level WRPG (narrative/story-wise) with a God of War or Devil May Cry-esque combat system.


    If they just keep doing cheap D&D knockoffs and bad third person shooters, though, they're never going to get another dime from me.
