Maybe we should stop talking about the Madden Curse and move on to the GH Curse.

I had an A-rod once, but the doctor gave me this cream.

As it is now, it's psuedo-win.

But wasn't there this other thing called a "law" regarding their use?
Because I seem to recall during the congressional hearings a few years back the congressment politely reminding Bud Selig that collective bargaining agreements and corporate policy don't supercede law.

An organization/company should not be required to define a rule that enforces a LAW.
Or does baseball also need to make sure they put specific rules in place that fielders are not allowed to shoot the runners to prevent them from advancing?
02/11/09
And no, in baseball you would be ejected from the game for shooting another player. As that would be violations of two rules. Clear path of the base runner (loosely) and use of un-certified/un-inspected, and not league approved equipment. ;)

End.

If the man wants to smoke a bit, that is his business, and the douche nozzle that leaked the picture should have his testicles removed. And as far as A-Rod, if everyone else in the sport is juicing, it is almost a necessity if you want to stay competitive.

"Activision does say that the Guitar Hero World Tour ads that spoof Risky Business are coming to their end anyway."
Guess what that's called boys and girls. Yep, "SPIN"!

I'm as anti-sports as the next guy, but a baseball player taking steroids is about as surprising or betraying as a farmer using antibiotics on their cows. It sucks, but it is a constant reality that we are up to our necks in at this point.
Honestly, the controversy of Klum's and now this, it sounds to me like the marketing department knows EXACTLY what they are doing. Tons of free press about their commercials.

I bet Alex Rodriquez goes home at night and cries into his giant pile of money that he earned thanks to those three years he spent on the juice.
If they found out I lied on my resume...I'd get fired. And nobody would feel bad for me. In the least.

If this were a video game tournament, the equivalent would be one player is smoking pot and the other is using a modded console and glitching the game out. They don't BOTH get to stay! Kick the cheater and tell the pothead to use a blowtube if he's gonna do that inside!

Phelps is an American hero.
I think the word 'hero' is bandied about too much these days. What he did was impressive as hell, but hero?
Call me when he uses his swimming skills to save a drowning baby.

But smoking a bong after you've won an ungodly amount of Olympic Gold? I say let the man smoke.

I don't think it's hypocritical. Marijuana is not a performance enhancer unless you're a professional Twinkie eater.
A Rod was cheating; Phelps was celebrating.
02/11/09
Except for the fact that just about everyone used some form of performing enhancing drug over the last decade, thereby nullifying any advantage he may have had.

Why would they?
Weed and video games go together like peanut butter and jelly!

Pot is not bad, it's being addicted to pot that's bad.
I mean, i occasionally do it because i like ti, but I'm not addicted in any way.
02/11/09
Cannabis is not addictive.
The more you know...
