Alllllso, almost two years EXACTLY to that date, and ALSO in April, you have the Big Shell incident. Strange eh.

The designers just needed a battered paper texture, and happened to find one. Either they found the same damaged paper texture that was used for that poster, or they took it from the poster, modifying it so heavily in the process that it largely qualifies as fair use.

Kojima has not made a "godly" game in a great number of years now. The original MGS and the ZoE series, and that is about it.
And please do not give me any of that MGS4 bullshit. MGS4 has got to be the absolutely most overrated game this generation. All the hype that game got, was just that. Hype. I'll happily take Uncharted, BioShock, CoD4, Fallout 3, GTA IV and Killzone 2 over MGS4 any day of the week, as contenders for best game on PS3. If I wanted to play a game that felt like it was made 10 years ago, but was trying to pretend it was made today, then I'd play Resident Evil 5. . . fuck it, I would not even bother playing that. It's mediocre for all the same reasons that MGS4 is mediocre. Unfortunately for Hideo, that was the best he could get.
If all the dumb Xbox fanboys really want MGS4, they can have it - it is not like they are getting much. Matter of fact, they are better off fawning over Halo: ODST or Alan Wake or Splinter Cell: Conviction or Lost Planet 2 or Mass Effect 2 . . . or any of the quality multi-platform games that are coming out over the next year, than over MGS4.
Trust me Xbox fanboys. From a guy who played half way through Metal Gear Solid 4, and just could not take the boredom, and false limitations and awkward combat controls any longer before finally coming to his senses and giving up. If you really love your Xbox 360 console, then pray to your Xbox fanboy gods that MGS4 does not show up on your system. It is by far the most over hyped game this gen (possibly, ever), and the only reason you don't know how over hyped it is, is because dumb Playstation fanboys will never admit that it is, so long as it remains exclusive to the PS3. But the moment it gets announced for Xbox 360, and they will finally come out of the closet and admit the truth - Metal Gear Solid 4, simply is not worth all the hoopla . . . unless you like playing your games from the gen before last.

Kojima is an amazing developer and creates games with stories that really pull people in ... that doesn't mean he's free from criticism. I have no intention of placing anyone on a pedestal. I'm not the only one that feels that MGS4 was a bit of a step backwards in gameplay.
Without looking critically at games and game developers, the field will never advance. Assuming that all criticism is foolish because someone is "godly" will only hurt gaming.

Man I hope it isn't MGS $ on 360. I'll have to stay away from a couple of sites for a while if that happened. The fanboy trolls will be on full force.

I'd like it if they just let it cool down for a bit. Get on with some ZOE action or a Snatcher remake (you know something what the fans have been talking about)

Not really. Who would want an inferior version of a game? You are aware that the game makes specific use of the HDD-caching on the PS3 because it's virtually impossible to load all of the necessary data from a disk right? Oh yeah and then there's blu-ray and you know... the 30+ gigs of compressed game data.
The only people who bitch and moan over MGS4s PS3 exclusivity are butthurt 360 fanboys who for the most part will NEVER play the game. MGS fans played it already.

Also Hideo said MGS4 is impossible to come out for 360 with the game been in delevelopment for years, purely for PS3, it would cost Konami a lot of time to do this. Not only that, Hideo hates Microsoft so you know that explains it all...

@Indy_aka_Rex: I can't see how it would be too inferior if it were to happen. The graphics might not be as polished but it could still keep much of the flare to it. The 30+ gigs of data could be done with multiple discs and installation can be done on the 360 so HDD-caching wouldn't be uch an issue.
