I like The Club. It had some issues with it's style, too gritty for the arcadey design, but it was a really cool twist on the usual shooter game. Really reminded me of old fashioned arcade gaming. I'd like to see it brought back with a brighter look.
@lvl54spacemonkey: I feel exactly the same way- it's repetition was justified by the necessity to make every run perfect, a missed shot warranted another playthrough. very challenging, but like the old days!
@expansionsss: I scanned his whole list, and with the exception of Hexic (which was probably just a curiosity since it's a built in freebie), there was not a single "un-manly" game in the bunch.
@Ueziel: I agree. The demo was great fun but I couldn't quite justify full price for it. I did however pick it up several months after release. Got more out it than I had originally anticipated and may even go so far as to say a sequel could be a day one for me.
@loafing: I was the same (had fun with the demo but couldn't justify a full price purchase), except that I never found it cheap (up here in Canada, on the Futureshop website, it's still full price) so I never did end up picking it up.
@Mcmax3000: Interestingly enough, I can find the PC version of the game for $5 from a local used bookstore of all things. Around here, the game dropped in price down to $14 at some places like Target but it otherwise just dropped off the map.
@Ueziel: I picked it up for $10 at buy.com a couple weeks ago, and it's definitely fun as a single player game. I just wish they could've woven some (same side) co-op into some of the game modes.
i blame sony. to this day, Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style is the only game my 60 GB PS3 wont play. The only freakin' one! it locks on the loading screen, and i tried 2 copies!
you cant discriminate against the Wu like this and expect the rest of Hip-Hop not to feel it, Sony. When MF Doom's kart game comes out next year and bombs, that'll just be more blood on your hands. for shame, sony.

When the aforementioned developers went on their lunch breaks, they all ordered the same type of sandwich... The Club.

Plus, it's 60 bucks and not worth half that.
