Nintendo Ponders Foreman-Style Grill DS
Could a future version of the Nintendo DS be used to cook your dinner? Speaking at a analyst briefing following last week's lowered financial outlook, Nintendo's president called the Foreman Grill's delicious recipes an "option for the future."
"Only people who can cook really well can be oven owners. That doesn't fit Nintendo customers because we can't cook worth a damn," Mr Iwata said. The Foreman Grill's quick ability to grill a cheese sandwich would better suit Nintendo's customer base, he said. "In reality, if we did this it would increase the amount of food our customers would eat, and customers would complain about Nintendo making them fatter, but it is one option for the future."
I don't see any problem with the handheld's current inability to cook a hamburger, but then again I rarely eat anything other than powerbars these days. I supposed if you want to be able to eat a hot sandwich while training your Pokemons, having a Foreman Grill is certainly one way to do it. Would you pay more for a grilling enabled DS? #nintendods

I'm just used to doing that in mails/forums/blogs/whatever and it being that short kind of negates your environmental argument since many people just have longer nicknames.

Just with the silly layout of narrow comment section adding an extra 3 lines on the end just for a signature is a bit pointless. I'm not being too serious with the comment, especially the environmental thing :P

Kindle can use Whispernet and no monthly fees because a book is only a few KB. DS games can be as big as 4GB.
I think the best option would be include 3G, but just roll the 3G charge into the cost of the download. I pay like 30p for a days 3G access PAYG style. So 30p ontop wouldn't be an over bearing charge (unless you get like a game a day, in which case it gets fairly expensive, but so does the game a day)
Also 3G coverage is a bit shoddy. At least you have Wi-Fi acces in your own home. You can't get your own personal 3G accces at home with a router. If you're not covered by 3G, then you just don't get 3G. #nintendods

it's 512mb max limit aka 4gigabits.
Still, that's half a gig, nowhere near the few kb of a book. Even smaller games will take a while to download over 3G.

Until they make software specific to that version of the DS.
I give you, 'You wont be able to play New Super Mario Bros on that Phat DS' and 'DSiWare' and 'DSi only software'.
Multiple DS'es are okay until you wind up with handheld exclusivity from the same manufacturer. What if some Wii games could be played only on a Wii, and others would only work in the newer, Blue Wii? Or the different Red Wii?
