If the Goths get Dita Von Teese, then it's only fair that we get Mary Lynn Rajskub who plays 24's code-cracking, network re-routing, information technologist, Chloe O'Brien (she's one of those characters who would be just gorgeous if she just took off her glasses and let her ponytail down). In Geek Monthly's third issue, Rajskub gets tested on her tech skills (as compared to the character she plays on TV) and cosplays her way through a pretty unforgettable photo shoot.

<![CDATA[Follow Up: Target $24 DS Game Sale]]> I just got back from my local Target where I went to investigate the sale that I posted earlier. Upon arriving in the electronics department, I saw that there were only a few games with the $24 sign on them so I went to the counter and asked which games were actually on sale. I was told that only the games with the signs on them had the reduced price.

So, I trekked up to the front of the store and grabbed a circular which clearly said "All DS games $29.99 and up" and brought it back to the electronics counter. After handing it to three different people to get their opinions on it the genius employee finally took my advice and took a scanner over and started scanning prices. Lo and behold, the circular was correct! I managed to get Rocket Slime, Wario: Master of Disguise and Kirby Squeak Squad. My roommate walked away with the best deal of the day which was Final Fantasy III for $24. The usual going rate for that game is $35 to $40 so it was quite the bargain.

So, if you are heading out to Target, just know that while the sign may not be on it all games $29.99 and up are on sale and the price will be in the register when you go to make your purchase, if not, just wave that circular in their face. The sale will be going on from today until Saturday, so good luck and happy hunting!

<![CDATA[$24 DS Games in Target Weekly Ad]]>

In this week's Target circular they are advertising that all regular DS Games $29.99 and above will be on sale for $24 each! Notable titles include New Super Mario Brothers, Elite Beat Agents, Spectrobes, Nintendogs and Yoshi's Island DS. See as most DS games go for $29.99 and above, it sounds like the perfect opportunity to expand your DS library with some pretty solid titles. So, ya better hightail it out to Target before the crowds hit and all you are left with is a dented copy of Hannah Montana.

<![CDATA[Mass Effect Equals Jack Bauer Plus Space]]>

What's Mass Effect like? BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka describes it as "Jack Bauer in space." Jack Bauer? I love Jack Bauer! And in space? I am so there. Muzyka continues:

You have complex moral choices to make. You're out to save the galaxy. You're going to have to do things that don't seem like they're good to do that.

Oh goodie goodie. Does that mean that all the supporting characters are insignificant and will be killed off during lulls in game play?

<![CDATA[Cheesecake Pin-Ups For Your Xbox 360]]> If you're in the mood to pay for some Eidos marketing materials disguised as cheesecake pin-up shots of fake ladies, now's your chance! The Battlestation: Midway theme is available for download on Xbox Live and will only set you back 150 Microsoft points. You'll get four whole wallpapers featuring the painted ladies who've been shilling Eidos' World War II shooter to whet your appetitie for the game and the next opportunity to buy more fantasy girls. Whatta bargain!

My suggestion, however, for those looking for bonerific downloads is to instead snag the free 24 theme and picture pack in anticipation of this coming Sunday's season premiere. I'll take some Jack Bauer power over T&A-lite downloads any day.

More details over at Major Nelson's blog.

<![CDATA[Clip: Playing Wii on the Set of 24]]>

Man, today is shaping up to be a regular YouTube day. As much as I try to spread out our video clips, most of this stuff is just too good to pass up.

The latest is this bizarre video showing Efren "Vote for Pedro" Ramirez and director Chris Barrett playing the Wii on the set of CTU for show 24. There you go, your bit of randomness for the day.

<![CDATA[Replicating 24's Excitement on Your Phone?]]> Kiefer_Sutherland_108504a.jpg

Textually has a blurb about the 24 mobile game. The game uses a series of puzzles and time-based requirements to try and keep the intense pace of an episode of 24. However, it does so without the voice talents of the cast, but the mobile game does boast their likenesses and the 24 countdown clock. Textuality links to a BBC article that talks about what does and doesn't work in the mobile games version of 24 in greater detail.
