Hey, I can see myself in your pants...
No seriously, I'm not even trying to pick you up... just making an observation-- LOOK!

But 70 bucks for every new game out there? C'mon. Why isn't there a grading system based on quality?
I mean, its a rhetorical question. Obviously you couldn't do that. But the 'hits' dont have a problem selling, its the 70-average games that do. And theres just so many of them, all the time now, for all three systems. Then the handhelds.
You say playing games isn't a right. But the point of the original topic is that the industry is hurting because people would rather save a buck or two and buy it used, or not at all. If the industry put out some better games or stopped making sequel #23 or fps #5863, maybe it would be more justified to be paying the kind of cashola we are. Once again... I guess you can't really do that either, because theres only so many original ideas in the world.
Its stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. Whaddya gonna do? I buy very few day 1 titles these days because of the hype machine that has been going on about every. single. game. out there and that I've gotten burned more than once (Godfather II springs to mind, how was the sequel worse than the original?!?).

@CHoZO: Really? C'mon, really? That's hardly a fair, or accurate statement.
