Why is Super Mario Kart the top ranked? I guess it may have had some influence in the realm of Mode 7 rendering and helping to create the "arcade racing game," but I wouldn't rank it number 1.
Even more disappointing, why the heck is Super Mario 64 #11? I actually would have ranked that in my top five, if not #1. Really, if you consider it, Super Mario 64 was the first game to get 3D right and became for that generation, and even current games in a way, the benchmark to rise to for user control in a three-dimensional space. For having so much influence on game dynamic, user control, and game universe rendering, I can't see why that game ranked so low.
