Worldwide Blizzard's World of Warcraft just cleared five million subscriptions. Expect this number to continue to rise on the way to the 2006 expansion, The Burning Crusade. Additionally, Blizzard pulled their test realms last week - which means that the next content patch (1.9) is either getting ready to go live or going completely back to the drawing board. My gut is on the former - maybe tomorrow will be patch day, although this thread from the WoW-Europe boards says not this week.
