Some late breaking news in the on-going pissing match between JoWood and Perception over the fate of the half-completed Unreal-powered Stargate SG-1 game.
JoWooD is saying that the Austrian Superior Court has rejected claims by game developer Perception that JoWood is bankrupt.
Herer s a gem from the release about the game:
The court order also states that Perception itself has admitted that the delay of the game delivery was also caused by the failure of Perception although JoWooD has already paid the undisputable amount of 5.5 Mil.
So now JoWooD can continue to restructure their company in an attempt to prevent going completely under. This ruling comes on the heels of JoWooD s announcement that they were canceling Perception s Stargate contract and were taking back the game license and wanted the assets and source code from the company for the game.
What this really means is that Stargate SG-1 is well on its way to becoming another game killed by lawsuit.
