Atlus has been one busy little company this year, haven't they? It almost seems like there's a new game announcement coming from those folks every week, like this latest one for the strategy RPG Eternal Poison for the PS2. Released in Japan under the name Poison Pink, the game follows five bands of adventurers as they explore the homeland of the mysterious Majin. Some wish to rescue a kidnapped princess, others yearn for revenge, and even more are drawn to rumors of the Eternal Poison, a treasure rumored to make your darkest desires come true. Since my darkest desire at the moment is chocolate chip pancakes, readily available at IHOP, I hardly see the point, but it could be right up your alley. Eternal Poison, complete with a bonus soundtrack in every box, is due out in November at the budget price of $39.99. Hit the jump for the teaser trailer! More »

Atlus announced it's bringing a refurbed version of card-based strategy RPG Yggdra Union, originally released on GBA, to PSP on September 16th. According to the publisher, this version remasters the visuals and audio, adds voice dialogue in Japanese and English, plus the all-important widescreen aspect ratio. More »

Ladies and gentlemen, what you;re looking at here are new screens for what is sure to be the best damn strategy RPG available for the Xbox 360 in North America come late May, Spectral Force 3. Developed by Idea Factory and published in the states by Atlus, it will also be the only strategy RPG available for North America Xbox 360s (not counting Xbox Live Arcade), but that doesn't mean it won't be good. While I love a good PS2 SRPG, it's nice to see them moving on to the next generation, and looking damn fine doing it. This should hold me until Disgaea 3 for the PlayStation 3 quite nicely, yes. Nippon Ichi Software has just launched the website for the latest game in the Disgaea series, which takes the intense strategy RPG and brings it to the next-generation on the PlayStation 3. The new site contains some screenshots, character and story info, and a whole lot of indecipherable squiggly lines in place of words.
