Realtime Worlds (better known as the developer behind Crackdown), has announced that they will be sponsoring the UK's student game design competition, Dare to Be Digital. In addition to contributing funds to the competition, they will also provide mentors and speakers during the 10-week competition that begins next week.
According to Realtime Worlds CEO and creative director, David Jones:
Talent is a key factor behind the success of every game, and Dare to be Digital makes a big contribution to spotting and developing high quality talent for the industry each year.
After the 12 teams across the UK are finished with their prototypes, the projects will be displayed at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival in August. The three teams who win the competition will be awarded the "Ones to Watch" award at the BAFTA Video Games Awards in October. Good luck to everyone!
