Sega is bringing the Shining series to the arcades with the upcoming release of Shining Force Cross, a four-player action role-playing game that, if it stays only in arcades, will likely stay in Japan.
And you know, based on the debut trailer of the game, I might be perfectly fine with that. Shining Force Cross, even though it has GIANT HAMMERS, looks like a Shining-branded take on Phantasy Star Online at best, a prettier Gauntlet Legends at worst. It may do well in Japanese game centers, though, as it looks like a serious time and money investment.
We'll just hold out hope for a domestic release of Shining Force Feather for the Nintendo DS and further hope that it's good.
