Halcyon - who now own the rights to the whole Terminator franchise - have secured the option to develop a number of films and games based on the works of Philip K Dick. At this stage, two games are planned. There's no word on just which of Dick's 44 novels and 120 short stories yet to be adapted (obviously people already own the rights to Total Recall, Minority Report, etc) will be picked up, so fans can go right ahead and start pencilling in their own personal top-fives while we wait for a fleshier announcement. I'd say that's an awfully crafty way to hide your brand new MMO, leaving it out in plain sight like that. Either way, Codemasters will be distributing the game throughout North America and Europe, with Codemasters Online handling the game's operation. In case you weren't listening on Friday or - like me - don't have cable, here is the teaser trailer for Cheyenne Mountain's Stargate Worlds MMO. Not too much to report, other than the fact that there is indeed a Stargate featured in the trailer, which means that they got at least that one detail right. What is interesting is the selection of people passing through the Stargate itself. Playable alien characters perhaps? Call me crazy, but ever since I was a little boy I've always wanted to be a relatively nondescript little grey dude. Is it finally my time? More »

Yes, violent video games are one of the many societal dangers that Cameron feels need to be done away with as part of a long-term plan to fight crime by changing behavior of schoolchildren both at home and in the classroom.
"We are never going to deal with crime unless we look at the broader context and say, 'Yes, tough laws, strong action on the police, but also action to strengthen our society'.
