Today's Bungie Weekly Update features a handy reminder for the frugal. Next Tuesday, March 25 at 2 AM PDT, the Heroic Map Pack for Halo 3 will become a free download on Xbox Live. Good things come to those who wait (and reject microtransactions). That will coincide with the reveal of the third map from the soon to be released Legendary Map Pack, which, if you're getting greedy, has no current plans for becoming an eventual freebie. Best thing about the Wii: It has a GameCube in it! So players who busied themselves with the PlayStation 2 or the Xbox, have a chance to catch up and get to know the little Nintendo cube. You've got a long weekend. Plenty of free time! We've got a copy of World in Conflict to give away, but we don't want to just give it away. The RTS title was voted "Best Strategy Game" at this year's E3 and presents a "what if" the Soviet Union never collapsed. Here's the contest: Make a globe out of anything you like, but it must be an actual tangible World globe with countries and oceans and everything. The best globes will be selected by the big mean Kotaku editors, while Kotakuland will vote for the best finalist. The deadline for entries is next Thursday at midnight EST.
