Well he was Super Saiyan in the other shots, and this one he's even more advanced looking, so...
Yeah, I'd say that my worst fears have come true: Sonic has gone Super Saiy-er, Super Sonic 2.

DBZ came to an end before the first sonic game was ever created, "Super Sonic" was a throwback to them.

@MonkeyBiz: No. No it didn't. Sonic 1 appeared in 1991, Sonic 2 (Super Sonic first appearance) appeared in 1992, and Dragon Ball Z came to an end in 1996. The Freeza saga finished in 1991 (First time Goku transformed). Yuji Naka never really admitted that Super Sonic was a tribute (or ripoff) to Goku, but it's pretty much obvious that it is.
SSSJ2 (Sonic Super Saiya-jin lv2) already occurred in S3+K. Noobs. ;)
i cant wait til SSJ3 sonic! And then in Sonic GT, SSJ4!
oh, and when he fuses with Knuckles! Awesomeness i cant wait!!
