This is one of the few I feel isn't improved. I liked the creepy glowing eyes.

The creepy eyes were great, but who knows. These are captures and they're not the greatest representation. Looks great either way. Drool...

I do admit, the old eyes made him look more cyborg - which he is. The new eyes made him feel more human. Can't decide which I like more.

I like his new look. With that tiny nose he looked like Michael Jackson before.

Plus, there's more expression in his face.

He looks weird in both versions, really. It's the mask thing.

I liked how he looks in the first one; reminds me of Amano's artwork. I can see why they changed it though. It looks more like Raiden now.

I liked the old version more, he looked more "undead-robot" which I guess he basically is.

Before he looked a lot more undead, but now I get a sweet should-be-dead Darth Vader vibe from him.

I like the look of both, but we'll see how the story plays out to know which would have fit better.

Crazed Killing Machine = better undead.
Troubled Killing Machine = better new.

I think we know which way Kojima will go.

Both look fantastic, and I am fine with Kojima changing the style. But I have to give a bit of the lead to the first style. Sure it is not as finely detailed and sharp of how it looks now, but it does look a bit more stylized.

The old one was better... I wanted him to be less human... That way he'd be less raiden...

Is his lower lip translucent? I swear you can see his teeth though it in some shots, not so much here.

I never EVER thought they could make Raiden cool. But they did!
(but I still hate the high-heel ninja-toes boots his suit has)
