Reborn: Nah, not so much on that one. though I haven't really liked this arc too much at all, honestly. Feels like I know what's going to happen every single page.
@Eric Kortschak: Okay, maybe "rip-off" was too strong of a word, but there were still a lot of similarities in the story to me. And obviously the gameplay is radically different.
Yuna and Collette were the same archetype. Nothing wrong with that, as most games have characters like that. but what really struck me as odd was that they both have to go through a similar trial to save their world(s.) Yuna's quest to bring the Calm, and Collette becoming the Chosen. And at the end of their quest, (unlocking their seals/ grabbing the aeons) they would both have to "die", one to summon the final aeon, and the other to become one with Martel.(Though I know that's not where Symphonia ends, but it did make up more than half the story though, didn't it. Let me know if I'm way off, here.)
Both having a group of guardians to protect the on their respective pilgrimages, and the main character being pretty clueless about the whole ordeal. At least Tidus was, can't remember if Lloyd was, off the top of my head.
And Lloyd and Tidus's fathers being villians/sort of. Kratos being a winged angel guardian dude, and Jecht being Sin.
Maybe it sounds like I'm really reaching for the similarities. Feel free to disagree, or course. I may have played FFX and then Symphonia back to back at some point which warped my perspective? Meh, It's how I feel.
Doesn't stop it from being a fun game, though.
And feel free to correct me. I haven't played either of them in quite a while.
@danw13335: I actually found the original xbox one inferior to the pc port. All except that decoding mini game thing, took forever to get used to it on PC.
Terminator 2... oh wait, gotta be a game? Hmmmm, I REALLY like Super Castlevania 4. Or Maybe Dragon Warrior 7. Or Mario 3. Or Ocarina of Time (If you wanna count that as a sequel or whatever.)
