Retro Consoles Return As Adorable Papercraft
Thanks, Marshall Alexander! Were it not for your heart-meltingly cute papercraft renditions of 70s/80s game machines, we don't know how we would have made it through Monday. But make it we did, clutching that little C64 to our hearts all day long. Hit the link below for the papercraft templates in question.

DSi Sales Break 500,000
Japanese people are buying the DSi. Lots of them. Nintendo sold over 500,000 DSi units (535,379 units by Enterbrain's numbers) during November, it's first month on sale. For comparison's sake, the DS Lite sold 550,000 units during its first month on sale in Japan.
The DSi's success has bolstered the DS platform's total sales to 24,239,590 units — a figure which includes the DS, DS Lite and the newly launched DSi.

Can Dead Rising Wii Be Saved?
Not if this trailer is anything to go by. On the plus side, for the first time, we see more than half a dozen zombies in the one spot. Sadly, they're carefully staged areas.
The rest of the game looks as barren as ever, while the boss battles look even more arduous than on the 360. Point-blank sniper rifle fire? Lordy.

street fighter: the legend of chun-li
First Look At Movie Chun-Li's Thighs
We're not posting the first images from the upcoming Hollywood flick Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Already did that! We've got something better — the first look at movie actress Kristin Kreuk's Chun-Li thighs. So, yeah, there ya go. Thighs.
The film's plot is an origin story and seems to follow the in-game origin story for Chun-Li. At least Hollywood seems to be getting that right even if it's skimping on the thighs. Our complaint: Needs more meaty.

Tomb raider contest
Let's Try This Lara Croft Voting One More Time
Oh crap. WE ARE SO SORRY. For some reason, the comments in our Lara Croft gallery went AWOL. So we have no freaking clue who has won. All apologizes for those who tried to vote — sorry, sorry, sorry.
Don't hate us — well, hate us too much.
So, we'd really like it if you could vote again. Here is the gallery. Click though, find the one you like and please put your vote in the comments directly below. You'll need to write down the title of the Tomb Raider game you like best.
To make this up to Kotakuland, we offer this picture of Girl Scout Tim Curry. GSTC makes everything better.

Wii, 360 And...Runescape Top Yahoo! Search Queries For 2008
It's no Google, but in the absence of Google's stats, it'll have to do: according to Yahoo!, the Wii, 360, PSP and even PS3 were amongst the 10 most-searched for technology items for 2008.
Impressive, yes, but also slightly misleading. See, by limiting it to "technology", we get a doctored playing field. What would be really impressive would be if a game or console made the overall top 10. A game like, say, Runescape. More »

For Some Reason, Australia Is Getting An Uncut GTA IV On PC
In perhaps the most glaring example of the OFLC's utter disregard for consistency, Grand Theft Auto IV will be released in Australia on PC completely uncut. Even though the console versions were cut, cut, cut.
According to Rockstar, the Aussie PC version "is unedited in any way and identical in content to the international version". Why the Office of Film & Literature Classification thinks it's OK to let people bang hookers on a PC but not a console is anyone's guess. More »
