@ViperVin: "The Call of Duty publisher (and its developers) claim the boxed, retail copies of games in the series will never carry a subscription fee to play their online components."
Unless they go against their word, it shouldn't be subscription based.
@Arggh! there goes a...snake a snake!: It might just be me, but the proportions on that seem horribly off. The golf bag looks like it's half the height of the Segway and not nearly as wide. Either that's a tiny set of golf clubs or it's a massive Segway.
@maximum_sarge: I was about to comment on that but decided to look through all the comments before I did. I can't even imagine going near 300 mph without a roof on the car...
@xd.Balls: Wow, that's very tempting then. I have a Netflix and a Gamefly account right now and have been planning on canceling Gamefly for a few weeks now. I don't use either service very heavily, so combining them into a Blockbuster account might be a smart move for me.
@xd.Balls: That's what I'm thinking. I'm paying around $16 for 1 game out at a time for Gamefly. If I can get 2 extra games for $4 more, that's a great deal. I might look into this to see if Blockbuster has a big enough catalogue, and enough supply, to make me switch over to them.
@MJDeviant: Sometimes Costco has some nice Herman Miller chairs in the $250 range. I'd check the online store or go to your closest warehouse and see what they have in stock.
I was always interested in the first game but never bothered to pick it up. Should I try to find the original right now for cheap and then by the second as a standalone game, or just wait for the DJ Hero 2 Bundle?
@Tyrunn: Definitely give Raspberry Jam a try. When I was younger my family used to grow raspberries and my mom would make her own jam. My friends were always envious of my sandwiched because they tasted so good with the raspberry jam. To answer your question, though, grape jelly is a mix between grape soda and grapes. It's not as sweet or fake as grape jelly, but it doesn't have the true flavor of grapes.
@Killer Toilet: This would be a great thing to throw on the side banner. Like you said, update it with some of the more important, newer, articles and bump out some of the older ones.
@Duuuuuuude: Yeah, I can't agree with you more. The engine could definitely use some refining to make the gameplay smoother in some parts. It's also my favorite skateboarding game. I used to love Tony Hawk's but as soon as I played Skate 1 I knew the controls would make the game superior. I can relate to how it's just simple fun to ride around and session small spots. The X-Games center is always awesome, too!
@Duuuuuuude: Ha, I think they need to get you on their marketing team. Sometimes the challenges took some time to complete but were then rewarding when you completed them because they took real skill. Other challenges required you to attempt them 100 times or more in hopes that you would time an ollie and flick up hard enough within a .05 second gap.
@Duuuuuuude: Yeah, I've been having a blast with the game. Some of the challenges are more about luck and outlasting frustration than actual skill, but it's still really enjoyable.
@Yeah!: After playing Skate 1 and 2 on both the PS3 and 360, I like having the concave analog stick heads. My fingers did slip every once in a while, but it's much better than always having to have my thumb around the edge or having it get stuck in the 360 convex head. That's just my opinion, though. I know plenty of people that can't stand to play the PS3 because of the controller.
@Jonathan Parent: I saw a player performing a celebration today where he ran and slid on his knees. I cringed, fearing that he would come up with burns (I had heard of the hybrid grass before I watched the game). He slid 2 or 3 meters and got up without a mark.
