<![CDATA[Comments from psychobaka]]> <![CDATA[Comments from psychobaka]]> <![CDATA[psychobaka commented on What Did You Think Of The Too Human Demo?]]> I didn't really like the control-stick-to-attack idea, although you're virtual indestructibility made up for it. The moves were really cool, but it didn't feel like I was the one calling the shots.

The artwork is amazing and the story seems pretty cool. For setting, I'd give it 10/10, but the semi-auto-pilot controls (and the camera that fights back) bring the whole experience down to about a 6.5/10. If they added a more direct control mode (instead of pointing in a direction), I think this could be a really cool play.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Sonic Unleashed: Half Classic, Half Stretchy Werewolf]]> The wolf mode looks incredibly boring. Slow, clumsy, and the combos are not flashy at all. However, I'm still buying it for the better half, but maybe I'll wait until its priced has been axed after the first month.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Duke Nukem Trilogy Trailer Takes The Cake]]> I kept watching waiting for the cool part, but it never came! The music rocked, though.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Dead Space Is About 15-20 Hours Long]]> @B: They've already said that pause will be added to the game. It'd be stupid not to include it.

I'm a little worried about that "playing dead". One thing I dislike about Mass Effect (and HL2 for that matter) is that the things you know aren't actually dead could not be killed until you had reached the trigger that would animate them. As long as I can kill them while they're playing dead, the annoyance factor will be minimal.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Interview: EA Boss Riccitiello Aims To Win You Over]]> The quality of games EA has been producing lately has definitely put the gaming giant into a much better light. Also, the fact that their rival, Activision, has now become the embodiment of everything we were afraid EA was going to be, it's much easier to like them now.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Can a Game Be a Tearjerker?]]> Lost Odyssey during the Death/Funeral Scene. It was very beautiful and well done.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Some Guy Went and Built a Sentry Gun]]> Nicely done! I think the vid needs some music, though.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Rock Band 2 Gameplay Trailer]]> @nekoRamen: Yeah, the crash cymbals, like GH4, are redundant.

They're fixing a lot of stuff and adding more content. I can't wait for this to come out!

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on In Space, No One Can Hear Your Cardboard Spartan Armor Crinkle]]> @kosbee: That would be awesome. Kinda like the guy who did a video with some random light saber moves. It was retarded until I saw the version with the audio/visual effects added in. Then it was pure genius.

He won me over with the reloading rocket launcher. I also agree that his parents would do well in investing into this interest.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Oh Dear: New Sonic Unleashed Trailer]]> @gec05: Agreed. There's nothing here that says it's any more than some creative marketing. Relax!!!

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on First Look At Rock Band 2's Premium Drum Kit]]> @Robotube: This IS a low-end electronic kit, doubling as a Rock Band drum controller. Read yesterday's story.

I'm disappointed that it doesn't have a hi-hat pedal, but I will seriously consider this since it will work stand-alone as well.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Rock Band 2's Drums Sorta New, Definitely Improved]]> I really like the idea of actually getting a kit that can double as "real" drums. We'll see how much it costs though, and how much of a footprint it will require.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on The First Max Payne Hollywood Film Trailer]]> If it's as good as Hitman's movie rendition, I'll be more than happy to buy a ticket. Here's hoping!

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on See James Bond In Quantum Of Solace]]> Woot for PC release. I'm still itching for Mirror's Edge though.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Rock Band 2 Features Drum Trainer, Wireless Instruments, Full Backwards Compatibility]]> Most of the quirks seem to have been ironed out. I must say, this is the BEST way to make a music-game sequel, with the transferable music and all.

My only hope is that they don't tie the characters and bands to Live profiles again. That was VERY annoying!!!

@You Cannot Untoast: Don't we all!

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on NPD's PC Sales Charts June 22-28]]> These PC lists are just downright depressing.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on 360 Rock Band Guitars Work With GH: Aerosmith [Update]]]> Well GH3 360 supported the RB guitar until Activision blocked the PS3 RB patch. Then, GH3 360 was patched to not allow ANY RB peripherals to be plugged in when the game is launched (VERY annoying for someone who switches between them frequently). I'm guessing they may do something similar for this one.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Here's Four Minutes Of Infinite Undiscovery]]> Looks way better than that last vid Kotaku had. I might actually give this a consideration now.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Alone In The Dark's Unbreakable Car]]> A great video if there ever was one. Thanks for the laugh! I think I'm gonna get this game for sure now.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on The Soulcalibur IV Ladies In Action]]> The English voice acting certainly leaves something to be desired. Good thing Soul Caliber games tend to have the Japanese voices as well.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Crytek's CEO: Piracy Threatens PC Exclusivity]]> One day there will only be digital distribution of games. It cuts shipping costs, more difficult to pirate, and GameStop can't sell used copies of it.

Back to the article, I built a computer a couple of weeks ago that can run this game quite well. It has been awesome so far and absolutely beautiful, but it is definitely far above the average PC's level. I expect that this game will have consistent sales as the average PC ramps up.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Virginia Tech Grad Ponders Game About Shootings' Aftermath]]> I'm tired of people being emo about the shooting. Going to VT myself makes it that much more difficult to get away from the self-induced gloom that certain members of the community put themselves in. Overseas, people die in much greater numbers every day; get over it or be emo for them, too, just to be fair to everyone.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on BioShock PC's DRM: Gone]]> I'll probably download this game, but only because I already purchased it for 360.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Here's, Like, A Billion Tales Of Vesperia Screens]]> I absolutely loved Lost Odyssey. I can't wait to see more RPGs making it to the 360.

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on AMD Graphics Chip More Powerful Than Every Game Console Combined, Says AMD]]> I'll wait for the benchmarks. It'd be nice if ATI could catch up with NVidia, but the whole AMD/ATI combo just hasn't been as powerful as the NVidia/Intel duo.

]]>
<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Sonic Unleashed Looks Too Good To Be True]]> I'm still concerned about linearity, but that's nit-picking compared to the other things they're getting right in this. I knew you had it in you SEGA!!!

<![CDATA[psychobaka commented on Survey: One Third Of Gamers Buy Music Game Songs]]> Before Guitar Hero I had VERY limited knowledge of rock history. Now, not only do I better understand the artists, I also understand the instrumentation. Without Guitar Hero and Rock Band, I'd still have J-Pop droning out of my speakers all the time and I wouldn't be working my butt off trying to become better at singing.

Favorite song: "Smokin'" by Boston.
