I totally agree. If a third of the rumors you hear about Garner and Affleck were true, they'd be divorcing/divorced, not breeding like bunnies. I have no idea whether they're happy or unhappy, but the rumors about them are so plentiful, fanciful and contradictory that it's gotten to where I assume any gossip column stuff alluding to them is made up.
@picardia: Whoops, you say this, but still -- that story remains juicy. If the celebrities now were half as interesting, maybe I'd see your point. But Liz and Dick having Rex Harrison and his wife over for dinner, when Mrs. Harrison gets so drunk that she screams insults at them all, gets on the floor, starts barking like a dog and then starts masturbating one of the dogs -- hearing how Liz tried to get out of that situation gracefully is always going to be more interesting than anything any Kardashian has ever done, or will ever do.
Liz Taylor = alive. Not young, and not in great health, but as of today, still with us. (Also, that story -- the excerpts from the book about her and Richard Burton -- was FABULOUS and well worth the read.)
What an idiot. Like others have said, it sounds like all she did was mature like a normal person, and he doesn't understand why he can't act like a frat boy in perpetuity. If your sex life can still be "beautifully passionate" after 10 years together, even if scheduled, the right thing to do is not whine that it's not like "dropping loose." The right thing is to thank God.
@Sharkbreath: You tried to make it a joke, but you're right; it wasn't funny. "Rear service," har har. Yeah, where DO these kids get their crazy cruel ideas?
To me it looks like a painting after the Michelangelo drawing, but seriously lacking his finesse and understanding of musculature and form. (The painted Jesus has a six pack, but you don't see any of the real weight/strain in the upper body that you do in the sketch.) However, I know you will be shocked to learn that I am not one of the world's foremost art experts, so I guess we'll see.
@idiolect: Although I can give no specific suggestions, not being in Atlanta, I can promise you that there are studios that are very welcoming. Mine is totally low on attitude, totally welcoming to different sizes/shapes/fitness levels/lifestyles. I started in February and have not only lost weight but come to feel a lot better about my body, my stress levels, you name it. A good general hint: Don't go to a studio that specializes in (or possibly even offers) one of the current trendy alternatives like hot yoga or speed yoga or anything like that. And don't psych yourself out by bringing the judgment in there with you. Yoga is just about you getting in touch with your body and doing what you can do at your fitness level, and a good studio will foster that atmosphere.
@pandaSmore: Exactly. As long as rape is looked at as a punishment instead of a crime -- a punishment we allow other, even more violent criminals to dole out on our behalf, in effect "rewarding" the most violent and incorrigible with greater power and reinforcing their worst traits -- the disgusting tolerance of rape in our jail system will continue.
