There's a lot of sentiment to suggest that action on the behalf of consumers will have the greatest effect, but I disagree. I would say that steps like the ones taken by the workers on these rooftops indicate that change will come to the country, however gradually. It may seem hopeless and these efforts may seem small, but they're getting a lot of press and that might bolster the courage of other overworked factory employees.
I can't disagree with a lot of what was said here. While Uncharted 2 was a revelation, 3 at times felt more like a rehash. I enjoyed the game, and I'm currently one Crushing playthrough away from my platinum, but something just ever so slightly missed the mark in this chapter of Nathan Drake's exploits.
The interactive action sequences were pretty gripping. They ceased to be so when I would continue to die at the same point twice, or even three times. Due to the cinematic flair of the game, this felt more like a break in the story flow than a game "death". It put those sequences into a strange grey area on which I am not wholly sold.
(Slight spoilers ahead) There was a hint of disappointment when certain punches were pulled near the end of the title. It was intense to see the writers go there, and to watch the reaction. Then it was taken away and dismissed as little more than a head trip. While another part of me was relieved, it still felt like Naughty Dog had just pulled an "it was only a dream" moment, and that kind of sloppiness does not fit this series.
A quality title, yes. I just don't know how much more they can subject Drake to and still have it be the same thrilling experience that Uncharted 2 was for so many gamers.
I've been trying to decide between the PC and the PS3 version of this game. I recall having problems with the vampire cure quests in Oblivion. Having to go back about ten hours into a game like this was inconvenient, but at least I had the option to go back. Once you pass that file size barrier in Skyrim, the game sounds almost unplayable.
Not true! I've signed out of sessions without syncing trophies. If they "ding" on screen, they'll be there when you next sync. They just won't show on your online profile.
We're past the point where having a movie made about a video game is a step up for the franchise. The Uncharted games are cinematic enough on their own, and they are interactive. They also don't get crammed into an hour and a half.
Suggesting any game like this would make a great film is like saying the Venture Brothers would make a great flip-book.
Yup, this. Or I worked out a strategy where I ran to the along the edge of the battleground, with a hop to dodge the last attack. hit with "DYNAMIC ENTRY!" times two. Funny thing was, most spammers were so used to winning, they were completely unable to modify their technique. It was like they started hitting the square button harder, like that would help them...
I don't see it happening. If they haven't announced the console yet, there's almost no way it will see a 2012 launch. Not with their track record of release date delays.
Agreed. I have both games already, and pretty much every add-on table that has come out for either. If you've been considering picking one up, might as well get both!
I have the Atrix, and it purrs with these new games. I'm glad, because a lot of the game I was paying (indie titles I was reviewing) were pretty freaking terrible.
