"@RET_Ghost: you mean the Matrix finished what Terminator started back in the 80s, right?
it's kind of like when you see a cookie and start to walk towards it, but your little brother looks to see what you're walking towards, and then totally sprints for it...
...and of course he then speedily wolfs it down before you can say anything
and you KNOW he didn't savor it..."
"@Gervy: I know exactly what you're talking about...
just stopping to get gas for my car kinda gives me the creeps sometimes, cause it'll be raining, there's a screen on the pump playing loud commercials, the loudspeaker is telling me about some other products or services, and then there's the guy from inside the station asking me if i'd like debit or credit over a seperate loudspeaker...
it's almost enough to make me wanna VK random people"
"@Monster Chalk: the reviewer is an intern...
i was annoyed by this review score when i read it in the mag...
but then i noticed she also wrote a review for "Portal: Still Alive" in the same issue and called GlaDoS a 'robot'...
so i just chalked it up to ineptitude..."
"so wait...doesn't a MUSIC game need MUSIC?
this sounds more like a 'Muzak you'd hear when you walk briskly past the Hot Topic at your local mall' game...
i'm in the first half of my 20s and i already hold disdain for 'kids these days and their music'...i'm scared to see what's going to happen in another 5 years"
"@dead_red_eyes: Rico Muerte was the guy with the hooker in the bar...
you're thinking of Jack Lupino...which apparently has a much larger role in the movie...thus the imagery that comes along with that"
"@ezcheezbandit: yes...
having 'experience' in the Senate only means that they know how to be bought by lobbyists and become a puppet/pawn to all the partisan crap-fest that comes with that environment...it's just the nature of the beast...
so the way i see it...you've got one ticket with two such individuals, and the other with only one such individual...
if you're actually eligible to vote, then make your up your own mind, who cares what the talking heads in the glowing box say?"
"Dark Corners of the Earth was a pretty great game, i thought...
having read most of Lovecraft's original work, it was quite trippy, in a good way...and yes, the hotel chase was pretty rough if you didn't know what to do, but it was also taken straight, step by step, from the story "the Shadow over Innsmouth"...which made the game freakin' sweet :)
more games should strive to be that faithful to it's source material, at least when the source material is something good in the first place..."
"good gravy, everyone...
the "BIRDMEN" are supposed to be hallucinations of daemonic Valkyries...(that IS what the drug 'V' is named after)...
seriously, if you're really confused/thrown by the imagery they're throwing into these trailers and claim to have played the first game, you obviously just weren't paying attention during cutscenes or in-game dialog
the most repeated phrase throughout the game was "...the flesh of fallen angels..."
:-P
Goo!
k...i'm done
:)"
